Of course they are! England is the best team that has ever played or will ever play the support of football in the entire universe!
I will predict:
England
France
Czech Rep
Sweden
which will lead to:
England
France
which will lead to:
France winning, and the invasion of France from Normandy, or England winning and me being more than a little drunk.

I'm just shitting my pants about tonight's match ><
England could beat Portugal but they're no slouches and they are playing for pride on their own turf. And if we play like we did in the first half against Switzerland. . .brrrr.
If (IF!) we make it to the semis I hope Holland beat Sweden because they're about even in strangth but Sweden is our bogey team

It's a shame at the Vegas FF that we didn't get Drolgin to teach us any of those songs they sing in the stands during soccer games. We could have modified them for our NFL teams!

2 goals in extra time!!!
UNFUCKING BELEIVABLE!!!
6 more minutes before it goes to a shootout!
--
well Portugal wins in shootout 6-5.
Unfortunate that the 2 chief factors in the game was the official and perhaps the condition of the field at the penalty spot. Regardless, the disallowed goal was a terrible call, but England still could have won. To tie it after Rui Costa's awesome goal in the extra period was pretty gutsy.
anyway, that game was terrific drama for a neutral fan like myself.

Ashley Cole played even better.
Sorry, Tanc :/
Good game though, but Urs Meier remains #2 on my 'Least Favorite international Ref' list after Anders Frisk (the vapid chickenshit asshat swede).
Ricardo wanted his mug on the papers, eh? A save, a winning penalty. WHO GETS ALL DA PORTUGUESE CHICKS TONIGHT?!?!

that Scottish ref is the worst of them.
but you guys should be happy you don't have to deal with all the second rate officials we do during qualifying and so on. These guys from El Salvador and Jamaica are so fucking ridiculous.

OK I've got to get this off my chest.
We sucked for most of the match. Portugal played better than they have done in a long time. Our midfield looked tired. I would have taken Beckham off at half time cos I Was sick of his lazy ball-watching.
Props to Michael Owen. That was a top-class finish and he was looking overdue.
We just couldn't put anything together in the second half and at about the 60-minute mark I knew we were in trouble. FUCKING Helder Postiga has been as useless as a fucking chocolate teapot at Spurs all year (24 games, 2 goals) but he was given a free header by Neville. Shame cos Neville had a great game otherwise. Can't really bitch about Rui Costa's goal. That was a pretty unstoppable strike.
The penalty spot was ridiculous but it affected both teams equally so I can't really complain but OH MY GOD wtf was the refereeing all about!? First I have to question the wisdom of giving us 3 Swiss officials when we spanked their team 3-0 last week. But the number of times we were given yellow cards for the same thing the portugese got penalised by a free kick or even nothing? And how many times did he give decisions the wrong way? And how many times did he blow up for absolutely no reason discernable to the human eye?
WTF he was doing for the goal I don't know. The linesman gave it but from 15 yards away through a crowd of bodies he felt he could over-rule it.
Swiss cunt.
I was really in the mood for fucking some shit up after the match. I'm glad the fans over there restrained themselves though
Ashley Cole was my man of the match. James played about as well as I've ever seen too - shame he couldn't stop just one of those spot kicks.
Poor ole' Vassell.

as a neutral fan, i will vouch for Tanc's assessment of the officiating. It was totally one-sided.

Who would have thought NED only point would come off of a Portugal own-goal?
I thought it would be a lot closer than the stats on the minute by minute ticker made it look.

Best match i remember Figo playing in a long time.
He was absolutely spectacular, and he truly deserved that goal he had go off the post in the first half. That would have been a true classic goal if it went in. Maniche's was just about the mirror image in the second half.
Frankly Holland is lucky they didn't lose 5-0.
I will say that Ricardo embarrassed himself with his antics.
