If the fries/etc. were truly "free" - then they wouldn't be destined to a life of horrible torture in the digestive process of a human stomach. If they were truly representative of "freedom" - eating them would be a bad thing. And if eating them is a bad thing, wtf does it matter if they are called french fries or freedom fries. Either way their short lived lifespam will be spent in freezers, vats of hot oil, and stomachs!

Oh by the way Fuddruckers has FreedomFries, Went there today and the guy 2 spots in front of me was bitching to the manager and demanding for her to take down the sign. All she said was if you dont like it im sorry but I will not take it down. As the man stormed out of Fuddruckers the rest of the line cheered and waved bye.

Luckily for me i refuse to eat at Mcdonalds anyways so it really doesn't affect me.. I personally refuse to eat at any restraunt that jumps on this bandwagon. They are copycats at this point and trying to cash in on someone else's idea and be in the "in" crowd.
