Probably downloading 1200 gb of porn within a month and murdering Pepé Le Pew.
Has more to do with his total disrespect of other posters in the Hulk thread and inability to use the spoiler tag. I think he should not only put me on ignore, but also the rest of the fucking forum since he doesn't give a shit about them and just posts to see his name in print.

So go ahead and put me on ignore because I've had it with you, and I will be trolling you whenever I fucking feel like it.

Back on topic, I asked about the navigation and maps function because honestly I've never used them. I know my way around where I live, and I generally don't leave wherever I'm at without knowing where I'm going.

I was honestly just wondering if you guys used that stuff very often. Were the applications less awkward, or the functions not on a cost per usage basis...I'd probably try em out.

Haha, that's your problem Nancy? Ok, have at it then. I can't ignore you because you're a mod, so feel free to thread hump me every chance you get if that somehow makes you feel better.

Btw, you being a cock in the follow-up Hulk thread is the reason it wasn't spoilered. If you are an asshole, don't expect people to do you any favors. The post and edit times even show that I altered it just because you were being a dick. No other reason.

I realize that your life it filled with indiscriminantly fucking whatever will hold still long enough for you to have your way with it, and downloading and watching pr0n containing billions of skanks that you'll never, ever, ever have a chance with in real life, but lets step back to reality for a second here.

Perhaps it's because you an insensitive little crybaby, or perhaps it's because you're just the condescending ass that I called you out for being, but:

HARDLY constitutes being a cock. I would have thought that the years or rejection you've suffered at the hands of everyone in your sad little world would have toughened up your skin a bit, but clearly that's not the case. That's also about as polite as I'll be to you or anyone that hops into a thread where everyone and their brother knows and understand what constitutes a spoiler and has been being respectful as such, and then you come in and do whatever it is you do. Seriously go fuck yourself. Stick to pr0n and downloading pr0n and being an expert on your hand and the best way to make use of your fleshlight will pellet gunning skunks and stop trying to be an authority on everything under the sun. If you're looking for someone to kiss your ass, you can go back to paying for it, you're looking in the wrong place if you're looking here. Take your 'REPLICA' and fuck off.

On topic: Truant, I've been fortunate to have unlimited data plans for the last few years. Though they're still overpriced, the prices are finally starting to come down for consumers, and that makes it a lot easier to just make use of the feature whenever you want. In a few years, there likely won't be a separate data plan, and the speeds will be such that everyone not using an LG phone will be able to take advantage of the various bandwidth intensive applications.

I guess what's odd is your constant attempt to somehow try and insult me in "real life" and create these weird scenerios where I have no friends and am some pathetic loser. Of course, you couldn't be farther from the truth but there's no sense in trying to argue the fact. You're simply doing it to get a rise. It's frustrating to me because you are going to be much more vocal and insulting about this that I am going to be and I don't see an end in sight.

I guess another reason it's odd is because I have no "enemies" in RL and have never had one on a message board before. I'm unsure how to proceed here. People here tend to let it out and get on with it, or at least contain it to the thread that inspires the ire to begin with and not spread it all over the place, derailing everything just to single one person out. You're going against the grain with these personal (well, trying to be personal) attacks whenever you can.

So, I'm asking one more time to simply back off. I don't need an apology or you to come over to my house and shake my hand. I just need you to stop making Veeshan Vault an unenjoyable place for me to visit. If you don't, then that's fine too. I'll simply stop posting on this board.

Have you had your eyes shut for the past 5 years

People don't single people out and follow them thread to thread here, you can't be serious.. Maybe I provoke people more than you (ok, I do), but you still did something to provoke this and I think you knew full well what you were doing at the time.

I wouldn't take it too personally, a lot of it probably has to do with the fact that these guys have said everything insulting to me they can think of, and got bored. Wrong place, wrong time!

It is actually kind of amusing looking at this from the other side of the fence for once.

I picked up the Instinct about 45 minutes ago.

The store opened at 9am and I got there around 10am. They had managed to activate 2 Instincts in the first hour. Two more customers and an hour later, it was my turn. My activation didn't take that long but the store only had two people working that could sell/activate phones. Pretty lame planning for a new phone release!

They transferred my contacts to the new phone. I haven't been able to play around with it yet but the touch sensitivity, etc seems ok. I like the keyboard and haptic response although I don't like the phone vibrating every time I touch something so hopefully there's a setting to limit it to just the keyboard without turning it completely off.

The store I went to looked like it would sell out today with the pre-release people. I'm thinking it will be hard to find a phone tomorrow but could be wrong. I didn't really pre-register.(I lied above! Its no fun doing things the legit way) Someone posted the email they received online so I copied that and brought it in. There's no special codes or even a name on the email so it worked.

Cost was as expected. $239 up front with 100 rebate to make it eventually $139 (that's if you qualify for the $150 off after 24 months since buying your last phone)

Will check it out after work. Good so far.

I thought Funkmasterr summed it up perfectly, so I'll work toward brevity here.

This forum, since it's inception polices itself. If you conduct yourself in a manner that lacks consideration, I'll treat you the same. My initial post to you on the matter was far from incendiary unless your sensitivity level is through the roof. After you took it upon yourself to jack up your font and thumb your nose in the face of decency, I'll use whatever is available and at my disposal to make you uncomfortable here for as long as I see fit.

I'd encourage you to take corrective action so that I'm not placed in a position where I feel the need to call you out, and I'd also encourage you to hold your breath while you wait for my apology.

Nice Mid. There's a lot to play around with on the Instinct. The main bad point so far is the browser. It is bad. No way around that. The example being that there's a chance of browsing VeeshanVault on the iPhone's browser but although I can get to VV on theInstict. it's too hard to navigate to make reading it worthwhile.

Not to fear though, someone already managed to get firefox mobile on it and opera might be on it soon.

Busy today but will write a review of my initial experiences last night as I played around with it. I figured out how to get ringers on the phone for free.

m.youtube.com works well (mobile version of youtube)

http://m.youtube.com/

two good forums for the Instinct:

http://www.instinct-samsung.com/

http://www.sprintinstinctforum.com/forum/

Live Search combined with Sprint's GPS rocks on the Instinct. So nice to speak the word of a business and have multiple locations pop up, linked to phone number, driving directions, maps, etc. Push button, say the word (s), done.

Instant messenger issue solved for the time being:

Allows you to IM using:

MSN MSN mobile
AIM AIM mobile
Yahoo Yahoo mobile
GTALK Google Talk mobile
eBuddy ID eBuddy (what's this?)

I tested it with GTALK on the Instinct and it looks like it works OK.

Playing around some more with the new Instinct. Some random comments:

LIVE SEARCH

I've found the Live (voice) Search works extremely well so far. I've found this to be a huge advantage over the iPhone. I tried searching for multiple businesses and the voice recognition worked every time, giving me the location or locations of the business I requested, ordered from closest to farthest away.

A co worker asked me to search for Christies (adult club) and it had no trouble finding it.

You have several options after getting the info you searched for. First is the list of multiple locations if there are more than one. Clicking on the location you want gives you the following:

-Phone Number (click to call)

Links to:

-Map (shows detailed map with target in center (zoomable both directions)
-Directions (written Directions)
-Share (send info to friend with Sprint Phone)
-Save (save to favorites)
-New Search
-Car Icon takes you to GPS Sprint Navigation which:
--starts turn by turn voice directions
--Gives you an ETA of your arrival
--Checks traffic along your route (making the ETA more accurate)
--allows you to go into summary mode which splits the GPS map with text turn by turn directions on the bottom

The voice is clear and pronounces the street names in a "normal" voice, not some robo voice)

Overall, Instinct gets A+ for GPS related functions

KEYBOARD / OTHER ENTRY METHODS

The keyboard, in landscape mode, is better than the iPhone (I've used both and own an iTouch). The haptic feedback does help and so far I've decided to leave it on for everything. You can also bring up a little pad where you can scribble letters on to physically write your message. It's cool but not going to be used much. There's is also the smaller portrait keyboard like the iPhone has. Not sure why I'd use that, maybe if you don't want to turn the phone to landscape or are using a single hand to operate. Voice commands, as previously mentioned, are outstanding. (I have a normal voice from the west. No idea if it will work for those crazy east coast accents. Mid can comment!) I also haven't used the "adaptation" to adjust the voice recognition so that might help if it doesn't work for your accent.

Overall, another A for data entry for Instinct

VISUAL VOICEMAIL

Here's a description:
The Instinct’s unique visual voicemail system lets you see all of your voicemail messages so that you can respond to the one that requires the quickest response, whether that message is the first, third or last message in your list. To access your voicemail either touch Main then Voicemail, or Phone, Dialer, and the ‘Cassette’ icon. You can even create a voice message to send to someone without having to call them; that’s what I do when I need to send someone a message but don’t need to talk to them……it’s the voice version of texting.
iPhone has something similar. I like being able to see my individual voicemails before listening to them. I ignore almost every call I get. It's nice to see who left me messages so I can check the ones that might be worthwhile.

I also like being able to record a voice message and then send it to someone without having to talk to them live : )

BLUETOOTH

I haven't tried it yet. I've used my bluetooth headphones but that's with the little bluetooth transmitter plugged into the phone. The Instinct has a normal mini headphone plug so you can use any headphones you want. I have my eyes on a Motorola wireless stereo bluetooth headset so I should be able to try out this part of the phone soon. I'd also like to get a USB bluetooth receiver for my PC to stream music possible and also use it to transfer files instead of the wired USB cable. Eventually I'd like to stream bluetooth to my car stereo but I need to get a bluetooth receiver first. This will be great for listening to podcasts in better quality than the FM Transmitter I currently use.

No grade yet for bluetooth

STREAMING TV

Quality isn't going to be high for this kind of stuff. I tried out the TV stations. There's quite a few for free from several sources. I was mostly interested in the Live stations. Of those, I found CNN and FOX Sports to be the most useful and put them in my favorites. The NFL channel will be great once the season gets closer as well. The NFL channel actually has the programs listed on the directory much like your TV guide has them on your cablebox, etc. Some other channels like Disney etc do this as well so you know what shows are coming up. Other channels like ABC play their shows but there's no listings for them so you don't know what's on until you play it.

There are a lot of "on demand" stations so you can watch old episodes. Fox mobile has King of the Hill,House, Bones, etc back episodes along with trailers, fall previews and stuff. There really is quite a bit to see.

Regarding quality:

From best to worst: Prerecorded Animated, On Demand stations, Live animated, Live stations. (blocky)

Streaming video isn't going to win any awards but the audio is clear and the Instinct's speaker can get very loud. (my old phone had the speaker on the back side of the screen which made listening to video horrible) I checked out a Spider-Man cartoon and it looked good so cartoon lovers will like this.

STREAMING RADIO

It's OK. Listening using my headphones was acceptable although it is below 128kbps mp3s in quality just so you know not to expect outstanding audio.

There are stations from:

Sprint Radio
SEE Music
Sprint Radio Premier
Music Videos
Sprint Radio Extra

All the above are free, some have videos, all display the name of the artist, song, album when being played. Listed above are the names of the folders which have stations listed within them so there's quite a lot of individual stations.

Music Choice (Subcription Required)
SIRIUS MUSIC (Subscription Required and only 20 stations)
Three or four other Subscription Music things

Overall, if you just want to hear some music from various genres, you'll be ok. I didn't see any talk shows.

One negative, you can't turn off the screen while listening to streamed music. Kinda dumb as there's no need to see the screen for this (except briefly if you want to see the music song info) causing more drain on the battery.

MUSIC/VIDEOS Sideloaded on Mini SD Card

First thing I did was drag over some podcasts from my iTunes directory. The Sprint Media App for the PC is usable but not great. Thankfully, the podcasts are kept in their own podcast directory so I can get to them easy enough using the Instinct's music directory.

Instinct uses the same formats as Apple MP4 so videos transferred over ok except one which had to be converted. I don't think I'll be watching too many video podcasts so that's no too much of a problem.

As with the iPhone, you can turn off your screen and listen to Podcasts/Music. In addition, you can use the decent speaker in the Instinct to listen to your podcasts or music which is nice for me so I don't have to plug in speakers at work or want to listen elsewhere without dealing with external speakers or headphones. Very happy with the speaker (not that it's great quality as it can't be in a phone but can get pretty loud without distortion)

Music management doesn't compare to iPhone. There are issues with album art atm. Only a few album covers transferred over. Hopefully this will be fixed. There is no podcast support (although at least they go in their own directory under genres). There are "recently played" and "recently uploaded" playlists and you can make your own playlists.

Video quality is good. The video player has a nice feature to shrink the playing video so you can still watch it while scrolling through your other videos. Skipping into the middle of a 40 minute video was fast. Instinct only supports 3g2/MP4 format so you'll have to convert if you want to use existing videos.

Using your Instinct as a USB storage device seems to be easiest. Just drag stuff to the right folders. The folder structure is easy to figure out.

One slower thing is that Instinct music checks the mini sd card to load songs each time you open it. Not a big deal with a few songs but I'm wondering if that will be pokey with a lot of songs on the card. Don't know yet.

The mobile site for Youtube works ok. Video quality is about the same as other streaming stations. I love having an easy way to watch Youtube videos on the go. That's the final block against boredom. If youcan't find anything else do to, you can always Youtube away the time.

BUILT IN RSS TYPE NEWS

On the Web tab, there are links to News, Sports, Movies and Weather. These are basically RSS type feeds that are very well formatted, with pictures and sometimes videos for the Instinct. The News is further broken down into 10 or so areas of interest. US News, Entertainment, Top Stories, World News, Today in history, Politics, Technology, Strange News, Health and Wellness, Science. Not bad. You get the text stories, sometimes an image to start the story off and also sometimes videos. I kind of like the videos. You can scroll through the news topics. Ones with videos have a video icon beside them. The ones without videos, when clicked, show the first paragraph or two of the story preloaded. There's a button at the bottom to view the full story which includes an AP image and the full text. Scrolling through the stories is the same as an iPhone, you flick your finger up or down on the screen to scroll. I do wish that the volume buttons on the side of the Instinct could be used to scroll as well. Sometimes that's easier. iPhone can't scroll with physical buttons either.

Overall, this simple feature is quite useful for quickly getting the day's news in various categories. Nice.

SPORTS

The top level of the sports button gives you links to:

-Scoreboard
-Leagues
-My Teams
-Sports News

Scoreboard gives you links to game details. First by sport, and then details of the game (boxscore, preview, etc) if you click on the individual game)

Leagues gives you links to "Games of the week" Schedules, and Standings for each sport

My Teams collects any favorite team you want to put in there, giving you their entire schedule, quickly scrollable and allows you to click on any game giving you box score or preview.

Sports News gives you a few links to more detailed sports news, general tops stories and some more specific categories.

Overall, A+ for this feature.

NFL LIVE

Instinct also has NFL Live under the apps menu, giving you

-live audio broadcasts of NFL games,
-live video broadcasts of 8 games (on NFL channel)
-Live NFL Network (already on the TV stations)
-Customized alerts regarding players, teams, red zone, injuries (if you want them)
-Live scoring summaries for every game (woo, nice for fantasy football)

EMAIL

So far, email kicks ass on the Instinct. I've setup three of my email accounts, two POP and one Gmail so far. I've been getting notifications whenever an email comes in on those and visual indication (email button shows number of new emails and there's always a little blue star at the top of the phone where the signal strength, time, etc are always displayed if there's a new email, voicemail, text message, etc.

I'm loving this feature. Haven't had access to my email on the go in the past. very coo. Emails are left on the server so I can retreave them again permanently when I'm on my main PC.

Google is working on their Gmail App which is more powerful than the built in one on Instinct. iPhone has this already.

Attaching music, images or videos to your email is easy. I also like that the emails show they come from my specific email boxes and not my phone. I also like being able to send images I take with the phone's camera or videos with the camers via a normal attachments instead of using Sprints lame method of making people access a webpage to see your images. That's faster but also shows your spring email which has your last name typically, etc.

Grade A for Instinct's email capabilities and it's nice to know google will offer their more total mobile gmail app later.

CAMERA/CAMCORDER

It blows. It's just not that good. It's good for a quick shot or video to send someone but the quality is severely lacking. Only a deal breaker if you want a camera phone that has high quality (iphone's camera isn't great either and doesn't take videos at all so the iPhone fanbois can't say anything at least)

IMAGE VIEWER

It's OK. iPhone's is better. Instinct gets the basics done but the two finger squeeze to zoom in and out is missing. You can still sweep your finger to switch picts and use your finger to move around and image zoomed. Zooming on the Instict uses a +/- bar on the side of the screen.

BATTERY

Having two batteries come with the Instinct is a NICE thing. With the iPhone, you're stuck with the internal battery. You can receive calls when it's charging via car or plugged into the wall but not when it's connected to your PC via USB so be aware just in case.

The back of the case is hell to get off to change the battery. The method they tell you to use to slide the back cover off is near impossible. Placing the phone face down in your left hand and then placing your right palm near the bottom of the back to push upward toward the top of the phone works best. Gets easier after awhile.

BUTTONS

Having dedicated non touch screen buttons for BACK, HOME, and PHONE was a wise choice. iPhone has one button for "Home" but the back button is extremely useful (the same way a back button on a mouse is) Dedicated Phone button is nice as well. It's a phone after all.

PHONE

Instinct is outstanding in it's primary function as a phone. Contacts work well, easy to update, huge keypad, easy to toggle back and forth to use when you need to enter info via keypad during a call. Neat way to answer or ignore incoming calls wehn your phone is in standby mode. (slide up or down) Very easy way to switch between speaker phone and normal audio during calls. Speakerphone is loud and clear. huge history of calls, history also saved per contact so you don't need to scroll through big list for indivudual phone number history. big history list is broken down by day, week, etc as you scroll through it.

Phone part gets an A+ (along with the great Live Search GPS features)

INTERNET

Not so hot for non mobile enabled websites. Stay tuned as the Opera Mobile Browser almost works already with the Instinct. It loads and works once then fails so it looks like just a few tweaks will be needed to enable it for the Instinct.

FAVORITES TAB

Very nice. Having a dedicated tab for favorites (along with the bottom tabs fr Main, Fun and Web) helps. You can see six favorites without needing to scroll with a total of 25 favorite slots available. I have things like Live Search, Timer, Web Link Direct to YouTube, Google Link, CNN Live, Fox Sports Live, Some Phone Numbers I use often, etc on the Favorites. You can get to most of these things pretty fast with a few clicks but one click is better! Basically you can dig down through your various Tabs and sub menus and link anything as a favorite. You can't really do this on the iPhone. With the iPhone, I think you can rearrange the icons but I may have had to hack my iTouch to do that. You also don't have nice directories, like games, apps, etc on Tabs. All of your crap is on the desktop in icon form.

------

Overall, I'm happy with the phone. It has some advantages over the iPhone and the iPhone has some definite advantages over the Instinct. First and foremost, the phone part, and GPS/Voice activated Live Search features are excellent and that's probably the most important part of a "phone" for convenience and usefulness when out and about. Multimedia has some nice things going for it but the iPhone is going to beat it overall in that category. Input is better than the iPhone. Larger keypad, haptic feedback and voice commands all are better than the iPhone) Also the spell correction on the Instinct is preferred by me. It uses the red underlined word method (click to see possible correct spellings) as opposed to iPhones forceful autocorrect which can fuck things up if you're not watching.

More later after I've had more experience with the phone.

Winnow, what Sprint phones have you used before? Several of the features listed are used on other phones from Sprint. From the Live Search to the Streaming video/tv...

I had an older Sprint Phone that had streaming video but it sucked. I don't care if other Sprint phones had some of the features. The review was specifically about the Instinct and how the Instinct uses those features so peeps that might be considering a new phone had an idea of the positives and negatives as well as compared to the iPhone.

The optional stylus that comes with the instinct makes browsing the internet much nicer.

The point of my question was that you don't *have* to go with that phone for many of the features. So far, the only thing I have seen that really makes it stand out from other Sprint offerings would be the touch screen and stylus interface. The two batteries could be a real plus over the iPhone IMO.

Sure, you can go with a Sprint phone with windows mobile OS if you want to crash a lot.

I figured the point that you don't have to buy an Instinct would be obvious. Of course many of the features are available in different phones. This is about the "Instinct" and the specific combination of features for it, not what other phones have or parts of what other phones have that the Instinct also has. I seriously don't get your point at all. Nice troll I guess. You've been all bent out of shape ever since the GPS failed you. That's a shame. Sorry it happened. If I was a Sprint tech support dude I'd give you a free PacMan app for your phone or something.

Btw on the subject of phones, this HTC thing looks really cool: http://www.htc.com/www/default.aspx

Yeah that is a cool looking phone. My next phone purchase will be a something like it or the iPhone, I have changed my stance on them. I'm starting to not like Windows Mobile very much either, tbh.

Those phones are windows mobile 6.x.

Windows mobile 7 comes out 2009. The Windows 6 mobile hasn't done very well.

Where do you see that Diamond being offered? Sprint has two HTC phones. I played around with the Touch HTC for about 30 minutes in the Sprint store while waiting to buy the Instinct. It was ok. I liked the small size of it but it was too small to "touch" without a stylus on a regular basis to access those micro menus.

People seem to love or hate their HTC Moguls.

I'll revisit HTC products with next year's lineup when they'll have Window Mobile 7 OS to see if it's any better. That's 2009 and from what I've read, Windows Mobile 8 is the one that will be worthwhile and that's probably 2010.

The friend who IMed me the link to that thing said it would be available in Q4 '08. I honestly didn't look at much past the front page and the photos page. Running on Windows mobile would steer me away from it. I don't have any deep-seeded religious feelings about Windows mobile, and don't care that it's an MS product. My aversion to Windows mobile mostly has to do with the fact that all the Windows Mobile devices I saw the last time I was in the Sprint store looked horrible. I really hated the UI/Screen on all of them. That said, they're a definite step above the Palm OS stuff that looks EXACTLY the same as Palm Pilot I had back in '97ish.

Where exactly does the stylus fit onto the phone? I didn't see anything that looked like one on the phone at Best Buy. Also, have you tried out the browser install you mentioned?

There's no place to put the stylus directly into the phone. There is a slot for it on the case holder they provide. I'd assume any other case will have a way to hold the sylus...or at least look to see that it does before you buy the case.

I'll use the stylus at home for now. I'm not using a case until I find one I like. Instinct is smaller (thinner) than the iPhone. It weighs less as well so fits in a shirt pocket without feeling weighted while the iPhone/Touch is slightly too large/heavy (heavy mostly). Also, with the Instict being thinner, it feels better in your hand as an actual phone. The iPhone is a bit wide. (you sacrifice some screen size for that though)

I got the mobile version of Google Maps to install and work with Instinct. You need to be in mobile browser mode, not full view, for it to install (otherwise you can't click on the Terms and Conditions agreement button) You can use your hand but I used the stylus as you're smearing your finger across the screen a lot while locating what you want to see otherwise.

The more I get a chance to screw around, the more I'm liking this phone.

"You can save on long distance and air time with the new 3G iPhone. iPhone Hacks has the scoop on an upcoming iPhone 2.0 App named 'iCall', that will let you switch between VoIP and normal GSM calls anywhere in North America. You can check out their recently released video proof of call switching in action . This software requires no hacks and will be completely official. Here is a little quote from the developer: 'We are part of the Apple iPhone developer program. This is not an application for you naughty jail breakers ;-)'"
Edit: Basically this means that if you're near a wifi hotspot, a parallel call is set up and then the call is transferred seamlessly from the GSM connection to the WLAN/Wifi connection... saving you the monies.

That's pretty damn cool if it works well. It could easilly replace my home phone if I would be able to use it at home without burning minutes.

That's is a cool feature. T Mobile has had it for 6 months or more now, but the problem is there are only like two phones that use it, and I don't like either of the phones.

I bit...picked up an Instinct this afternoon while waiting on my car to be finished. The browser sucks when compared to the iPod Touch/iPhone, but it seemed to basically be as functional as most of the other phones I have owned or checked out.

Okay, I have had the phone for less than a day, and I am already looking to possibly replace it. This may be due to the fact that I use my iPod Touch daily, especially the calendar and notepad features as well as other things I installed after jailbreaking it. In other words, I may be a bit spoiled by the Touch's interface.

The Instinct's touch interface really does seem to blow. Scrolling through menus is clunky, at best. It is almost impossible to scroll through a long list and not click on something as you try to scroll further. Also, many lists seem to have hard-coded spots that they will default to when scrolling. This makes selecting the one option you want a pain in the ass. I have decided that the web browser sucks because of the touch interface. I don't feel that it is the browser itself that sucks.

As a media player, it seems to do well. Loading some songs from my PC that I normally have on the iPod went well. My only complaint would be that it "felt" like it took a lot longer because of the way the media manager's screen tracks progress. The speaker is pretty nice when compared to some that I have used in the past.

I thought the screen when receiving a call was "fun," since you can slide the picture/name of the party calling you to an answer or ignore box, but I will admit that I have actually used it VERY little since I currently have only a temp phone number. They are porting my current home (broadband) phone number to the mobile, which takes around 1 week.

The way that this phone's screen-space is managed when online or in various other programs really seems wasteful. There may be a better "full screen" option, but I haven't found it yet. About 1/4" is used up by menus on each side of the internet browser, and some of the of the other features (camera, etc.).

So, I will probably try it out at least over the weekend, and then decide if I want to trade out for another phone. I figure that this will help me avoid any further issues with the porting of my home phone.

That's totally impossible.

I know for a fact that Winnow owns the same hardware, and he's said nothing like that!

We won't be fooled by your lies Boogahz!

(Winnow appears to be on vacation or something, so I'm filling in for him at this time in the interest of balance)

(10 days 'til the 3G iPhone!)

I was just wondering if winnow maybe got in a car accident or something.. I don't think he has ever gone more than like 24-48 hours without posting since vv's inception!

I sent him a PM re: the comics forum on Friday evening, and it hasn't left my outbox. In all seriousness, I hope he's on vacation or something because like you said, it's unlike him to go this long without posting etc. He's pretty well connected gadget-wise, so it's surprising he hasn't at least gotten the PM.

He is probably still trying to post here from his Instinct which would be damn near impossible. I had no problem making a few posts on my Touch from the service center of the Chevy dealership yesterday though!

I bet he relied on the Sprint Navigation to get him somewhere, and he is wandering the desert telling the voice activated Nav system to lead him to water.
