If I saw PM like that with a "then ban me you fucking pussy" response from Cart then you'd have more of a point.
I'm also bothered by responses that keep claiming this is a private message board and freedom of speech doesn't apply...of course it doesn't...nothing is required here but if you go back to why the board was created and its flame history, that shouldn't need to be pointed out. This board was nowhere near being overwhelmed by Cart and was functioning just dandy. The board was created to provide an arena for discussions and flames without moderation where people could go off on each other without being banned...not a place for a few inner circle people to fruit out and ban those that irritate their particular favorites. I like most of the people that are for banning Cart. As someone wrongly pointed out earlier in this post, I don't change my ideals and ways based on who I think will like me or not. That's something for fraternities and cliquès to stress over.
Cart did contribute to this board. He pointed out kyoukan's idiocy in his own satirical mimicry. He also had more than his share of funny lines. He deserves a time-ban for RL picture flames and nothing more.

There's actually more at stake here than just Cart's banning from this board. We need to back our mod when they enforce one of the very, very few rules we have here. If a person cannot manage to handle those very simple rules, then fuck em. You shouldn't have broken the rules. It's not like he hasn't been warned repeaditly in the past. 
I would've done the same thing if anyone would have posted what he did, in the manner he did after several warnings. I support Sylvus's decision 100%. I can't believe people are making such a federal case out of a very open and shut incident.

Someone would have to complain first and point it out to the mod, who would then send that person a PM warning. That person would then stop whatever they were doing. If no one PMs the mod, exactely how will they know or care that someone has broken a rule? Why do I have to explain this to you anyway?
