This is from their album "The Shape of Punk to Come". There's this and maybe 2 other songs that are great, the rest are fair at best. Probably won't be most people's cup of tea, but this whole thread is about trying new stuff!

Rehab - Sittin at a Bar
My friends and I have listened to this song pretty regularly for the past 6 or so years. This is a song that never gets old and it pretty good for almost any situation. Though a bunch of people drunk singing to this is probably what it's best for.

I tried to get in to Ray Lamontagne, his voice is great, but it just never clicked with me. I did like it, I just didn't love it.
Check out "Pony up - The truth about cats and dogs (is that they die)" and "Au Revoir Simone - Sad song" for two cool songs i randomly heard and liked this week

Aberfeldy - Love is an Arrow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziaHHPLnLT4
Video has nothing to do with Gamerz (the movie you should have all seen by now!)
If you liked that one, here's another Aberfeldy song - Tom Weir (also from Gamerz - played during credits)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyRo6lvPlQY
Who's tom Weir? Nick, you know? He's from Scottland. That's kinda close to you!
audio kinda out of sync, here's lyrics for second song
Tom Weir, Tom Weir
Plus-fours and a wee woolly hat
Three cheers for Tom Weir
Tom Weir, king of the anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
The anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
Tom Weir, balladeer
Musketeer, always up for the crack
Three cheers, Tom Weir
Tom Weir, king of the anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
The anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
His trousers indicated
He was sadly dislocated from the future.
Discussing history
With a Weegie or a Fifer or a Teuchter
Free beer for Tom Weir
Tom Weir and his wee canvas sack.
Three cheers, Tom Weir
Tom Weir, king of the anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
The anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
His red nose manifested
Many years had been invested in the bevvy (hic).
From Eigg to Rum and Coll
With double single malt and a wee heavy
Free gear for Tom Weir
Tom Weir and his wee woolly hat
Three cheers, Tom Weir
Tom Weir, king of the anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
The anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
The anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks
The anoraks, the anoraks, the anoraks

Pretty much. Anders Trentemøller is a rising star on the electronica scene, he's done a ton of stuff over the past six years. This remix is done with Ane Trolle who's also a bit of a fast riser.

If you like these sounds, take a look at Future3, Opiate (aka Thomas Knak who produced for Björk on Vespertine), Jet, Acustic or DubTractor - especially the Future3 album called 'Like'. Oh and if you've got badass intarwebz access or an awesome recordstore near you, see if you can find the old electronica compilation called Boredom Is Deep And Mysterious.

This song is absolutely beautiful, as is everything I've heard from this woman (Wikipedia = Joanna Newsom (born January 18, 1982) is an American harpist, pianist, harpsichordist, singer and songwriter from Nevada City, California).
