RAID arrays

Post by Aabidano »

Anyone know of any quirks running RAID under Win2k? I've done it under a number of other OSs, but nothing from MS.

I've had a 3 channel RAID card sitting in the closet for a couple years, and just ordered 3, 50Gb 10k RPM SCSI drives.

The drives were cheap, it should perform pretty good (striped, one drive on each channel) assuming windoze behaves.

A coworker of mine is running a mirrored RAID array, iirc, and it does just fine under Win2k. When he tried upgrading to XP is when the whole thing crapped on him.

Raid will be fine as long as your hardware is W2K compliant.
