I'm really not too familiar with most of the games. I know I've seen commercials for a couple of them and that's about it.
This guy was a friend of a friend. He was selling everything he owned. X-Box, PS2, GameCube, Truck, Computer, TV, Stereo, ect. I don't really know what the deal was and didn't enquire further into the subject. I just showed up to his home, paid him the money, and got the fuck out of there before he changed his mind.
Everything he was selling was a bargin, from the truck to the PS2. If I had more cash on me, I would've bought his GameCube as well. The system, 2 controllers and 4 games for $125.00. But alas, my money ran out
I'm just glad I waited years to get a PS2. I've almost bought one on more occassions than I can remember. This is an excellent justification for depriving myself for so long.

Lol when I read this post I thought about a fax my boss got at work today (small appliance company, one store, etc).
Was the funniest shit, some guy who wrote in ridiculous run on sentences said he was the head of the Nigerian Aviation Division in control of like $14.5 million but they needed some way to get the money into America, so if you sent him your banking information they'd transfer some to your account and you could keep 3.5%! Best part was he had a hotmail email address..rofl..

My GF and I just went shopping for cheap PS2 games and added these to our collection. The most expensive one was $20.00, and Toys R Us had a 2 for 1 deal going.
Maximo
Resident Evil Codename: Veronica
Tekken Tag Tournament
Metal Gear Solid 2
Twisted Metal Black
Dark Cloud
Okage: Shadow King
All those for less than $100.00.
I told her that we just did what every kid in the world would love to do. Buy a PS2 and immediately have 14 new games to play. Needless to say, EQ is taking a back seat for the time being

MG games always looked so fun but i sucked so completely at them for some reason... the only games that i've ever been good at that required stealth were the tenchu games, especially the first. I played that thing non-stop D;
I also LOVED the Bushido Blade games; although, the second one was lacking. I wish they'd make more!

Ahh the good old Nigerian scam. That shit is gettign really old now. I first saw it back in 1997 and I am sure it was around longer than that. Sadly I hear that people are ripped off a billion dollars a year from it. This is first time I have heard them hitting fax machines though. Really annoying scam.murr durr wrote:Lol when I read this post I thought about a fax my boss got at work today (small appliance company, one store, etc).

Shinobi is quite possibly one of the coolest games ever made. Sheer console goodness.

Dynasty Warriors 4 is hella fun and one of the best games we have for co-op play. I forsee us playing the hell out of that game. The ability to make your own character is a plus.
for GTA3.
I have a friend who brought over EQ Online Adventures about 2 weeks ago. He loves it. To me, it looks frustrating as hell. The one redeeming factor is the FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC keyboard/controller you can buy and play it with. Holy shit that thing is awsome. It has to be held to be appreciated to the fullest.
The only game my GF REALLY wanted was DOA3, but we couldn't find it anywhere. I imagine that will be in the $20 range by now as well.
On a side note, Okage: Shadow King is a kiddie, kinda girly, RPG with some fun takes on an old form of gameplay. My GF is really enjoying it. I think it's because it's not as intimidating as some of the more advanced, group based RPGs out there.

I think I need to play the single player a bit before launching into multiplayer because my GF and I really, really suck at that game. Of course, we had just played Shinobi, and Tenchu dosen't have the same run and gun playstyle we were still stuck inI especially really dug Tenchu

Well, if you want to get technical, it's called GTA3: Vice City. MuchWierd..I call GTA2, GTA2. Vice City is GTA4.

To be honest, I had no idea a remake/improvement was coming out. I just saw it in the "buy one, get one free rack" at Toys R Us and picked it up as my second game. I played the first one on PS1 and loved it. Now that I officially own a PS2, I'll be more up to date as far as what is available. There are plenty of 20$ (now "classic") PS2 games that I still would like to buy and play. I probably won't be buying any new releases for quite some time.Fair you should have held out for Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance. Its the same game with a whole shitload of extras. MGS2 is one of the best adventure games ever though.. except for the talk talk TALK TALKING.

Yea shinobi totally does pwn, but like near the end that game gets so tuff that I just wanna throw my controller down and curse its very existance, either that or I just suck at it, but like the last 5 levels just cause anger to me hah. But I agree that game is wicked sweet.
GTA:Vice City was suuuuch a nice comeback to the console world for me, I had to bust my ps 2 out of hibernation for that game, I played that a good 200 hours heh, just cause there is so much goodness to be had after you own every thing and have done all the missions.
