LoY Map Feature

Post by Nilaman »

Does anyone here know the website that had a download of every map in EQ for the LoY map thing? If so, could you please post it?

Im slow...does that mean I can't use the maps here for no map zones? Like...I would have to create my own map (which I tried and botched horribly!!) or just get something else to work?

Before, you could work around the no-map thing by reloading your UI (in elemental planes, for instance). They changed that, so basically, if you downloaded map files for the no-map zones you need some sort of off-line map-viewing utility to see them.

All of the no map zones are extremely simple, with the exception of water...which you just have to learn the hard way...

and trying to draw your own maps with the in game feature is about as enriching as stabbing yourself in the eye with two sharp sticks.

I use the pregenerated ones for zones that have them...my own brain for those that don't, and I memorized a map of the map blocked zones that weren't plain as day (water)

if you aren't good with headings, or knowing your surroundings, then the maps at eqtoolbox should help...if you are, I wouldn't waste your time

OMG my thoughts exactly, I feel less stupid knowing I'm not the only one unable to draw those damn maps

Still trying to find some maps that work, most of the zones Im fine with. But I wouldn't mind having maps for all of em anyway. And /agree Truant. I drew a map to seb just for testing...seems there is a straight line from EJ to seb, I followed it and aggroed every mob in the zone.
