Anybody tried this or know this - new UI stuff....

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

If I have the newui enabled on my machine, and a friend doesn't have the newui enabled on his machine.

If I log on one of his characters, will it mess things up?

I wouldn't think so. It seems that the UI would be machine specific. It'd be like me logging in someones character on my machine that doesn't have Luclin on it. It looks like shit for me but it doesn't effect the owner of the character when they log in on their machine.

Allow me to make my disclaimer that it "Shouldn't" make a difference but we are dealing with Verant. Given that variable your machine might explode and make you impudent and viagra dependent.

Hehe

But I assume that the spell book for casters on that account would be hosed between the 2 interfaces.

It doesn't affect it. On my main system I run the new UI, on my cleric's I run it with the old one. The spellbook IS fugged up pretty hard, but other than that there is no change.

But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

If I remember correctly, UI settings are per character even.

i think it is good. casters and melee may have very different sets of information they are concerned with keeping in the forefront.

my bard's UI is different than my rangers, and i like it that way.
