Dealing with Peace Protesters

Post by Bubba Grizz »

An email currently in circulation.

With all of this talk of war, many of us will encounter "Peace
Activists" who will try and convince us that we must refrain from
retaliating against the ones who terrorized us all on September 11,
2001, and those who support terror.

These activists may be alone or in a gathering.....most of us don't
know how to react to them. When you come upon one of these people,
or one of their rallies, here are the proper rules of etiquette:

1. Listen politely while this person explains their views. Strike up

a conversation if necessary and look very interested in their ideas.
They will tell you how revenge is immoral, and that by attacking the
people who did this to us, we will only bring on more violence. They
will probably use many arguments, ranging from political to religious
to humanitarian.

2. In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them
in the nose.

3. When the person gets up off of the ground, they will be very angry

and they may try to hit you, so be careful.

4. Very quickly and calmly remind the person that violence only brings

about more violence and remind them of their stand on this matter.
Tell
them if they are really committed to a nonviolent approach to
undeserved attacks, they will turn the other cheek and negotiate a
solution. Tell
them they must lead by example if they really believe what they are
saying.

5. Most of them will think for a moment and then agree that you are
correct.

6. As soon as they do that, hit them again. Only this time hit them
much harder. Square in the nose.

7. Repeat steps 2-5 until the desired results are obtained and the
idiot realizes how stupid of an argument he/she is making.

Bubba, I wish your mom had swallowed the mouthful of come that made you. You are a stain for humanity. Shoot yourself, do us all a pleasure. I thought America was the land of free speech. And as for September 11... funny how anyone has yet to find any connections between Saddam and that.

I thought it was funny :D

Course the peace protesters around here are pretty violent - so you'd probably get hit right back and when you're laying stone cold on the cement they'd march right over you :D

First off it is "Cum" and who is to say she didn't. No where in my post did I say that I was the author of that email. All I did was post it. Far more stupid things have been posted on these boards, including a lot of stuff I post. But if by experimenting flaming on me makes you feel more like a worthy person then feel free to do so.

My thoughts on the email (yes I hate spam mail as well, sorry Voro, I'll try to refrain next time) are that it made me chuckle a bit. I didn't dwell on the inaccuracies just the punch line (no pun intended).

A better analogy would be, you wait for the protester to begin explaining his/her side when in the middle of it, you run across the street and punch the midget who was just passing by.

Kyou, I hate to say this, but you are being stupid.
Iraq was not even mentioned in that inital post, they were talking about terrorists who killed 3000+ people on 9.11.01.
Frankly, if protesters think that those people who died at the WTC do not deserve to be avenged, then I would want to break their nose as well.

I don't see anyone protesting the war on terrorism very loudly. You remember that when Bush said he was actually going after, you know, actual terrorists?

And no, I don't think they should be "avenged." If you want to fight wars for vengeance be my guest. Then they will get revenge on you, and you will get revenge on them ad infinitum.

The war on Iraq has nothing to do with the war on Terror imo. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool or a liar.
As for vengence, if I strike them, I expect to be struck back. I would not expect them to hit my girlfriend or kid (Metaphor for the WTC event, which is not a military target). However, if they did hit my girlfriend instead of me in response I would beat the holy fuck out of them. (WTC was a weak spot on us. My girlfriend would be an apt analogy) If they ran, I would quit EQ and make my new hobby turning their life into shit, and enjoy it.

Instead of terrorists striking solely the Pentagon, they hit innocent people who knew litttle to nothing of their statement in the WTC. That, coupled with the fact they would not even tell us what they consider so wrong about each person, fuck them. Prove they are responsible and kill them publicly.

wow dude, you too have no clue...the people in the Pentagon were just as innocent as the people in WTC and why does everyone always forget the 4th plane. the one with the "heroes" on it. the one that was forced to crash in the middle of no where so "innocent lives" could be saved. /shrug

Then the US governement should not have put the innocent civilians in a military facility without protecting it better.
And I did not forget the fourth plane, I simply did not mention them because they are like the parried swing.

you're not understanding....

everyone that died that day (cept for the terrorist fucks) was an innocent life.

and oh yea, i'm sure everyone was worried shitless that someone would take a commercial airliner and fly it into buildings on purpose prior to 9/11.

In this context, "innocent life" should be read "civilian life," as opposed to military personnel who, by international law and custom, are the designated champions of the nation.

I'm not saying that military peeps aren't innocent or that their loss is any less tragic, just that it's traditionally their job to do the fighting and bear the risks on our behalf. That's why many people consider the attack on the WTC a more gross outrage than that on the Pentagon.

Exactly.
Excuse the verbal faux pas.
"Civilian life". Those who enter into the military understand that they may indeed die in this line of work.

the majority of the military personnel that work at the pentegon are desk jockies. they wear class b's (slacks and buttoned up shirts with collars and nice shiny shoes). they did not die in the line of work. they died while working, a thin line maybe, but there is a difference.

Then perhaps you feel they deserve to be avenged as well? I think that our people who died because of a cheap attack that for some reason worked, all of them, deserve that solice.

Basically /eloquence off,
I said that the military people that died on 9.11.01 also deserve to be remembered and have their killers caught, and executed quickly and cleanly.
