You apparently missed the BLM and Antifa summer of mostly peaceful protest. I once thought as you did and I had a hard time admitting to myself that I had been lied to.
You were definitely lied to if someone told you liberals were burning down buildings. The police precinct in Minneapolis, for example, was set ablaze by a fascist from Texas. He went by the name Boogaloo Boi.
It wasn't even hard to tell either, like what doesn't fit in here? All of the young protestors or the fucking douche larper in full body armor with a flame thrower.

I'd like actually read this thread and get involved... cuz im sorta bored.

But just skimming it killed brain cells.

Todays little thing was the best possible thing that could happen.

Let the people decide. You know, that whole democracy thing everyone rambles on about, without ever thinking about it long enough to even understand it.

So now it is fixed. No more dictat from on high. It's up to the people. If Oklahoma wants to save their souls and ban abortion, more power to them. Let them do them. Here in California, we kill babies for fun, so we will continue. All is right in the universe.

And Spang, you should log on... yer still in my guild.. come play with me!

Look at what is happening in Texas to see why overturning Roe v Wade was a terrible decision. Luckily she had the resources to go out of state for the procedure but I'd imagine 90% of the people can't do that. And now the Supreme Court is reviewing whether to make Mifepristone illegal because, surprisingly, one dumbfuck judge in Texas.. Even though it went through all the FDA approvals and has been found to be safe the past 20+ years. Really.. Thanks for voting for Trump and not Hilary because "RvWade will never be overturned".

It's funny that most of those trying to make the decisions for women are men. At least a few sates have voted for making it legal. However even in Ohio where it was voted to be made legal Republicans are trying to find ways to make it difficult so that's great. States rights until it seems to be against your backwards principles. Read the room, fuckfaces.

Republicans and their insane stance on abortion might actually cost them a "give me" election in 2024. Trump, very well could be in prison and STILL get more votes than Biden.

Biden is an absolute trash president but the guy is incredibly lucky. He has no business being a president even if he was 40 years younger. A career "yes man". I'm so disgusted with what's happened to most major cities in the US. Just do a case study on the state of California and expand it to the rest of the liberal run cities.

Democrats keep their votes by playing the victim card instead of trying to empower citizens to do more they instead increase government benefits. Living in the ghetto sucks! Here, have some more food stamps! (don't forget to vote for me!)

I can't tell yet how the Kennedy guy running as a third party candidate will impact both Biden and Trump. Biden trails in the swing states like Georgia and Michigan that won him the election. I have a feeling it will hurt Trump more than Biden but I still need to see more info on that.

I will 100 percent vote for Trump if Biden is the candidate for the democrats. I will vote for any Republican if Biden is the candidate (Or that useless VP lady). I won't vote for a third party candidate because that's a wasted vote. Almost always hurts your second choice when you vote for a third party causing your last choice to win (see Ross Perot).

The abortion thing is the only reason this election is even up for discussion. Any republican would crush the democrat candidate in 2024 otherwise. Democrats are a total shit show and an extension of the insane woke mentality that has almost run it's course. The go woke, go broke is a real thing. (See Bud light/Disney). The BLM bullshit (see the leaders of BLM and their corruption well documented, grats on wasting any donations people made to that organization by the soccer moms) has resulted in colleges with dipshit presidents like that lady that can't admit genocide is a bad thing to call for when it comes to Jews. Stick (insert gender/race) into a leadership position because you need to fill a square, not based on actual qualifications and that's what you get.

If abortion/Roe v Wade was the only topic being voted on it would be a landslide for Democrats.

If ran for president I'd promise to hand leadership over to AI. I'd ban anyone from bearing children. All children would be grown in test tubes and taken out of their tubes after being at least potty trained and hand me down prejudices from parents avoided. I'd promise to abolish all religions because face it, humans can't deal with multiple religions and it's all bullshit to begin with so I know AI would make the right call on that one.

Democrats and Republicans are both messed up. Russia and China definitely don't have better governments. I'm willing to bet all of humanity on AI. If it extinguishes us, so be it. Humanity is like a virus. We probably don't deserve to go anywhere or last much longer anyway. We are nothing special.

Unless he’s worm food, Joe Biden, who has never been a fan of Roe and done fuck all since it’s been overturned, will be the Democratic nominee. He’s also been a strong supporter of the Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. I’m certainly not excited about Biden, but as Rebecca Solnit wrote, voting is a chess move, not a valentine.

This is a bit of a diversion on the topic but regarding abortion/ban abortion.

1. Anything that is entirely in your body, you own and should be able to choose what to do with. I know people don't like to hear it but a woman should be able to terminate up to the point where that thing pops out of her body. I'd personally be against late term abortions but wouldn't ban them. I don't care about the fetus even if it can think. Don't care. I don't think there would be a huge increase of late term abortions but for any woman that decides that's what she wants, so be it.

2. I'm serious about farming babies. Research should be done on growing babies in labs. If you really want a child, contribute the eggs/sperm and then wait for whenever it's determined it can come out of the tube.

3. I'm actually in favor of a lot of the things in the movie Gattaca. When we get to the point where we can take the eggs/sperm from a couple and be able to adjust the DNA in order to remove known defects, it should be done. Exactly as it was presented in Gattaca, you can have a kid that's 100 percent from the two parents minus the defects they inherited from their ancestors, herpes 2, etc.

4. Maternal stuff can be piped into the tube. They can play heartbeats, the voices of the parents and even books on audio since babies are able to learn some stuff while developing.

5. I know some parents would still want to have a retarded fat kid with bad vision and a bad heart but hopefully their lines would die out over time.

6. If you wanted some diversity in your kid, after the known defects where removed, you could randomize hair color, skin color, eye color, etc.

Face it. Humans are past the point of needing to physically birth children. Female bodies aren't even designed well for it anymore which is why so many c-sections. Stop the madness. What kind of sick fuck wants to be pregnant for 9 months, morning sickness etc. By the time we can do this, average life span will skyrocket so it would also be better to keep the kids in the tube longer than 9 months, maybe 3 years. Kids don't remember jack shit anyway from that age. The longer they are kept from their parents, the better chance of prejudices, religious craziness etc creeping in etc. Babies are the worst. Useless things that can't do anything and take a long time to even learn how to use the shitter. Keep them in the tubes until at least potty trained.

All you need to do is look at current global affairs, and the entire known past of humanity to know humans can't deal with religion and are bred to be evil fucks that continuously fight religious wars and territorial wars. Lets get some healthy babies produced that can't blame race/religion etc for why they do what they do.

Looking out 50-100 years (really hard to say now that AI has arrived), I don't think our bodies will matter much at that point. We only need them to keep our brain functioning (if that's where consciousness resides. EVERYTHING, all your senses can be virtually created. You won't need a body. Whatever consciousness turns out to be, is the only thing that matters in the long run. Everything else can be simulated (and probably already is)

Maybe they can package military aid for Ukraine with abortion rights. Seems everything has to be a package deal these days.

I didn't even know my state manufactures the Patriot missiles. At least we're making money! Craziest job I ever had was briefly working for Northrop Grumman to create a manual in power point on how to work the machinery that makes the honeycomb material for stealth B2 bombers. It was a temp job I had before heading to Motorola Space and Systems Tech Group.

I had no idea how to use Power Point at the time (not that it's hard but actually creating the illustrations for the machinery in Power Point is not something you normally use for that purpose. This was in the early 90's. Huge unmarked building that was basically empty except for like 5 people along with me and some other temp guy working on the manual. The back 1/4 of the building was the manufacturing area. There was security but you'd think there would have been more for something like stealth tech. I had to have access to everything so I could draw illustrations of it for the manual. Military contracts/jobs back then were nuts.

Back to abortion in AZ. Our Attorney General said she won't prosecute any doctors that give abortions but I'm sure some religious nutjobs will make a spectacle of it. Ban starts June 8th. According to article I read there are about 1,100 monthly abortions in AZ.
"I have no intention to break an established law just because an attorney says they're not going to prosecute," Ronald Yunis, a physician at Acacia Women's Center, told Axios Phoenix.

Yunis noted a new attorney general could be elected in two years and decide to retroactively prosecute.

DeShawn Taylor, a physician at Desert Star Institute for Family Planning, told us she is appreciative of Mayes' efforts but is working with her board to decide whether it's wise to continue offering abortion care.

"Each of us providers will have to make a determination as to whether or not that is a risk we're willing to take," Taylor said.

What we're watching: The 1864 law specifies that anyone who acts "with intent thereby to procure the miscarriage" shall be imprisoned.

Yunis said he fears that he could be prosecuted under the broad language just by advising a patient to travel to seek abortion care.

How did we find ourselves back where we were 8 years ago? This is truly the worst timeline.

I guess now we'll see if Trump was really "just joking" with some of the things he'd do if reelected like most of his Republican bootlickers were saying. If he wasn't then we're in for some shitty times over the next 4 years.

And, unlike 4 years ago, he won't appoint people that will actually stand up to him and do the right thing for the country but instead be Yes men.

If you watch What we do in the Shadows, I felt like Collin Robinson the past few days, feeding on the misery of all the liberal media that somehow can't believe Trump won!

This is after the fact on VV (but I did win the Bush election VV points electoral prediction here back in the day so I'm decent at it!)

viewtopic.php?t=12015&hilit=electoral

I hit it exactly (you'll have to trust me bro!) I predicted Harris 226 Trump 312 with some friends.

As for the election. First of all, I'm glad it was a "blowout" so there's no drama this time.

Kamala Harris was a HORRIBLE candidate. The Democrats suck big time overall but having Harris run was icing on the top of a mound of mistakes.

Here are a few takaways:

1. Dems had WAY more money than the republicans, more ads, etc etc
2. Dems had every celebrity under the sun endorsing them
3. Dems NON STOP called Trump a criminal, fascist, woman hater, etc etc

...and they STILL lost the popular vote to Trump. What does that say about your own party when you lose to supposedly the anti-christ? It wasn't Trump. It's your own fucking party that caused you to lose. If you were even mediocre, how could the majority of Americans possibly vote for such an evil, vile man?

I fucking hate what the democrat party has become. Remember back in the day "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country". They need to go back to the JFK days because nowadays, the only thing Dems do is ask "What can we hand out to you to get your vote?"

Trump did not end the world when he was president from 2016-2020. It wasn't that bad. Dems persisting in attacking Trump because they had no other plan or way to win as their policies are all shit. California is the "Gold standard" of Democrat states. It's a fucking cesspool with 14% state tax and 15% in some areas. California is a joke (along with the entire West coast Oregon and Washington left states) How the hell can you look at that trash and say, hell yea! I'm voting for more of that! AZ and NV flipping back? It's because of the flood of Californians fleeing their fucked up state and now driving up housing costs in our states...and fleeing to Texas as well. Maybe we don't need a border wall with Mexico and instead put it up along the Californian border to keep the west coasters from fucking up our states.

I realize abortion is an issue. At least that has a chance state by state to be fixed. Other than that, what do Dems have? Nothing.

I'm looking forward to the next 4 years. I don't care what Trump does (stock market skyrocketed after he won...hmmm) I hope he has even a tiny bit of success draining the swamp since he has nothing to lose. I hope he fucks over New York as much as he possibly can.

As for the clueless democrats that can't acknowledge their own incompetence. I hope they figure things out in 4 years and have a decent candidate and a less woke agenda. If you listen to the Rogan podcast with JD Vance, he wasn't what I expected (curses like a sailor). Dems will lose again in 2028 to him pending we don't have another pandemic.

Lastly, dems don't get the importance of Podcasts etc. Rogan's Trump podcast got 70 million views in a day right before the election, as did Elon and Vance's interviews on Rogan. Dems have controlled the media for so long and love their lame celebrity endorsements...they probably won't figure out that Rogan and other podcasts/youtube are way more valuable than CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc etc. And what the fuck? Taylor Swift vs Elon Musk...choose some chick that sings songs vs a guy that has a laundry list of accomplishments backing your party? If the dems don't figure out that the moron celebrities and Oprahs, Whoopi Goldbergs, Mark Cubans are laughable, they will lose again because it appears the U.S. citizens have come to their senses and might be making better decisions, at least the majority did this time.

And I fucking hope identity politics is over. Vote for me because of the color of my skin! or my gender! nah, vote the the better candidate. Zero chance the democrats roll out a female candidate anytime soon after Hillary and Harris. Nothing against it, but it will probably be a Republican woman that gets voted in first.

Trump, Vance, Musk can actually carry on a conversation for a 3 hour podcast. Harris couldn't do a damn thing without a script with her talking points.

Second lastly...we haven't had an actual president for the past 8 months (or even longer) and the country functioned perfectly fine. Trump is a way better option than Biden/Harris and the country needs to shift back a bit to the right. Dems need to stop the doom and gloom bullshit. It's healthy for things to swing back and forth.

This election should be the death of the current broken democrat party It needs a major revamp...but looking at all the finger pointing going on, I doubt they'll learn from it.

It's funny because I feel the same way about the GOP. And I can tell you when that changed: When McCain, who I actually didn't mind that much, selected Sarah Fuckin Palin as his VP. The Republican party has gone down hill ever since they allowed the Tea Party, and now the MAGA nuts, to take over. I was hoping if Trump lost that would put the kibosh on that and Republicans could go back to being "normal" but this will only embolden them even further.
I'm looking forward to the next 4 years
I look forward to checking back with you in 4 years and see if you see feel the same way. Personally I think anyone who thinks that is a fucking moron. But hey we'll see who is right. No use debating it at this time. However I'll be more than happy to have been proven wrong.
Trump did not end the world when he was president from 2016-2020. It wasn't that bad.
Sure he didn't. Because he appointed people that actually stood up to him. If you think he's making that same mistake this time you're delusional. Have you seen the crazy fucktards he's nominated for cabinet positions? I cringe when I think of where he wants to put Kid Rock or Hulk Hogan.
stock market skyrocketed after he won...hmmm
Wow. The people who will most benefit from a Trump win (YOU get a tax break and YOU get a tax break!) approving of him winning is surprising to you? So shortsighted. And predictable.

Anyway... He already said he will be enacting tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China on day one. You know who ends up paying those tariffs? Yeah, the consumer. So buy all your shit now, people, because it is only going to get more expensive. I hope all those people who voted Trump because of the 'bad economy' enjoy paying even more. Because Trump will be doing the opposite of "fix(ing) it".

I was going to put off on getting a new TV (mine is from 2015) and a new PC (2018) another year or two but I think it would be better to just do it before Trump gets in office.

Oh, and finally, you, or others, voted because of how they did on Podcasts? Jesus fuckin Christ this country is doomed. I chose not based on who endorsed who, because frankly I couldn't give a fuck, but because of what the fuckin candidates actually SAID they would do. And in Trump's case as to what he had already done. Who gives a shit what dumbfuck Elon or even Swift has to say? If people are that easily swayed then they deserve what they get. Unfortunately others are going to end up as collateral damage.

I can tell you I care a lot more about what Elon Musk has to say than Taylor Swift. Elon's companies have accomplished some amazing things. Taylor writes and performs mediocre songs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntmssdzp_qY

This is one of the most awe inspiring accomplishments ever. It should bring tears of pride to every American. It certainly did for many non Americans watching it. That booster is taller than a 20 story building.

And just a reminder. Space X did something similar 5 years ago just as amazing: (timestamped it, landing two falcon booster in unison)

https://youtu.be/sX1Y2JMK6g8?si=vj53Vq969XtFl_Qq&t=199

Elon and the DOGE thing have a chance to change how our government works. If we got Kamala, you'd have 4 more years or same or worse since she is truly a clueless talking parot. There's a reason she got crushed in the election by the supposed anti christ.

I am looking forward to the next 4 years. As I said before, for better or worse, at least shit will get done. Democrat party really is broken. They aren't going to win if they don't change and head closer to the middle. And it will be Vance winning in 2028 if Kamala actually runs again like she's hinting at (not that she's ever won a single primary so probably won't happen)

-------

It's also nice to see Walmart walking back it's DEI hiring practices. Most of the dumbasserry of the past 4 years will get reversed. Soon I will be able to watch a TV series without seeing a black actor in a roll that looks like they should be dealing crack just because, you know, gotta fill the square and the roles for all the bad guys were 100 percent filled by white men. It's a shame it probably won't happen with the Academy awards though. For some fucked up reason, you can't make a good film unless you have a certain percentage of black people on the crew. If I was black, I'd be embarrassed as hell to know that the only reason I'm getting hired is due to the color of my skin and that asians have to score twice as high on college entrance exams to be admitted due to the color of a black person being admitted because...they're black.

And you know what...I think black men are getting it. Obama tried to shame them into voting for Kamala because she...black! Didn't happen, or in less numbers than in the past. With the left losing it's grip on the media, more people at least have a chance to see various opinions...even of way censored YouTube, you at least can see the truth as long as they bleep out words like "Covid" which gets you instantly demonetized for mentioning the word. You can say "Covid" on X....covid covid covid!

Elon made the CNN dude speechless when he said diversity shouldn't be considered when hiring. Only the ability of someone to do their job. I don't think liberals have ever heard the words "merit based".

And again...for anyone who still for some unknown reason thinks the left in its current state is great. Look at California...the absolute mecca of leftists. Anyone with half a brain is fleeing that state and it's 15% state tax and insane labor laws etc. Look at every black liberal governor of any major city and tell me how they're doing (if they haven't been arrested yet for corruption).

I don't give a fuck what race, color or creed someone is as long as they actually are qualified and get their job done. Affirmative action is bullshit.

Democrats are absolute trash right now. All the liberal outlets, MSNBC, CNN are all tanking in the ratings since their "Trump is a fascist" didn't work. They need to get back to the Kennedy days mindset. Quit catering to lazy welfare bums. The people have spoken and the "silent majority" exists and voted this election. Dems thought they had a shot due to all the insane shit being spewed from the left dominated news outlets and Hollywood.

Fuck these windmill power losers. I want a nuclear reactor on every street corner and the US digging for oil again. Energy is the only true power. AI needs assloads of energy. California is the perfect example of horribleness...they spout off about all these fucked up clean power sources and then buy most of their oil from Iran and other countries doing way more damage to the planet.

But at least I'm not a lone raving lunatic. Dems couldn't win the popular vote or the electoral vote, and that's with the evil Trump as the opposition...it should have been a cakewalk if the Democrats were even remotely trusted.

And yes, 3 hour podcast format with no script actually is a very good tool to get to know candidates. That scripted MSNBC shit is a waste. At least I got to know Vance better. I didn't make it through Trump's Rogan podcast, it was cringy. I would have watched/listened if Harris did a Rogan podcast but she couldn't because she can't speak beyond her script and 3 hours is way too long for someone to speak that only has like 2 pages of talking points and all of them attacking Trump instead of providing solutions to the mess she made the past 4 years.

Trump received less than 50% of the vote. That’s hardly a blowout by any definition.
