The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Post by Neziroth »

Played this a few weeks back on steam. I got it on sale, but after playing it I would have been happy if I paid full price.

It's the best looking environment in any game I've ever played. I think it's Unreal Engine 3, but holy cow did they do a great job.

Has some good puzzles and a good story, but there is no action. It's a "walking simulator" through and through, but if you like pretty scenery and a story that'll stick with you and have you asking questions at the end, then this is a must play. Think of it as a modern day "Mist" or "Myst" or however they spelled it back in the 90s.

For me, it's going to be one of my favorites for a long time.
