So, I bought this game last night and got around to playing it today. Hop in a normal campaign as the Germanic Tribe with tutorial since I hadn't played a Total War game in over 5 years. Move one, directives were simple: MOVE WEST AND FIND NEW COLONIES TO CONQUER! I comply. Move two: YOU'VE BEEN INVADED AND ARE AT RISK OF LOSING EVERYTHING STRIKE A DEAL. What!? The second move of a fucking tutorial on NORMAL, and I get invaded? The peace terms were to part with 75% of my gold reserves. I uninstalled instead.

Fuck this game, and fuck everyone who made it.

Neat concept. Those games sucked, however. Can't imagine the new one being better.

I really don't like the newer TW games. I will always love the Medieval Total War II.

This game is having an awful time. The AI is so bad that it's comical.

I've heard bad things about this game as well. Glad I didn't buy it but I am sad for those who did and for those who felt like they created a great game.
