Considering what a pain in the balls it is (unless you have a shitload of cash) to gather all those damn mats (map completion helps here), 10g is retarded. Will wait for a patch(hopefully). What are the actual bags going for on trading post?

72 now. Good times! I really, really like the non-group group events. I suppose it is time to start reading up on the 70-80 dungeons to not newb out too hard, even though I group very, very rarely.

Yeah, true. I may settle for 18 slots for the moment. I have ways of basically doubling my cash every few hours on the trading post, so I could make the 50g for the 5 20 slots pretty easily with a little patience...the only problem I have is that I keep spending all my cash every time I get enough to make another piece of exotic gear!

I keep telling myself that this time I will wait until I hit 20 gold, then just finish it and still have a ton...but I can't do it!

Full exotics now, with 16 magic find from my jewelry (thinking about changing it to pure MF ones), 60 from my gear (5 Traveler's + 1 Pirate runes), with a stacking luck sigil on my offhand and AOE fire proc on my mainhand. Combined with omnomberry bars, and it is raining rares during events. AOE proc helps me tag all the mobs in the swarms.

I am bored now :(

Just hit 80. travelled over to the Order of Whispers HQ and saw that yellow gear is 3G 60S. WTF? Anywhere to get decent, cheap lvl80 gear?

What are you guys spending all your money on? I can't remember what level I am (I think around 45), and I have like 5 gold. I guess I haven't done any trade skill stuff so that could be it.

hell I've been running around much more lately instead of taking way-points because I dropped my money down to like 30 silver. Every death and repair is like a stab in the heart. I won't feel comfortable until I get over 1g. I spend most of my time running around exploring trying to complete maps. The problem is that I am doing this with two characters. I get a bit frustrated but then I have to remind myself that this is not a race. It is a game where I can take my time because I don't feel obligated to play due to a monthy subscription. So, I'll relax and enjoy the ride.

Started up an elementalist this week and eventhough I have both tailoring and artifice up around 175, I have still managed to amass nearly 3 gold by level 35. Been doing a lot of component farming as well.
My Engineer has about 1 gold @ level 53.

I guess I shouldn't have used the black Abyss dye I found. It's selling for 5+ Gold

I think bags were cheaper earlier in the game as well.

Everything was cheaper earlier.

Killed that God-Lyssa chick today and had just enough karma to get the set piece chest armor from special karma vendor that pops after a god death. Only 5 more needed to complete set, hah!

Oh, and apparently, I am going to have to farm the shit out of karma...meh.

You are better off just buying \ crafting exotic gear and choosing what rune you want in it.

If you ever decide to go for a legendary weapon, it takes 250,000 karma for one part of it, and another part is variable between like 100k-300k karma.

Yeah the amount of grinding the same events over and over to do that is well beyond what I'm willing to put into a game. I know there are plenty of people that will do it though, crazy fucks.

Well, if you just do not spend karma, it adds up.

I only play an hour or two most days (if at all), and have spent at least 20k karma since I hit 80, and I am sitting at 26k karma right now.

A lot of the events in Orr are multiple parts, and give a hefty chunk of karma for each part. Karma boosters are very useful as well if you know you are going to run multiple events.

I am just not touching my karma anymore, and once I am ~300k or so, I will start working on a legendary. You need 250 skill points available as well, so it is a good idea to save those too. Have 101 of them right now.

also remember that it looks like a grind right now, seeing all those events that you have already done many times still ahead of you. If you are not in a hurry to get that though, you know there will be additional content added that will make the collecting of karma that much more enjoyable.

Didn't have to worry about no Karma or any grind at all.

I merely crafted all my lvl 80 exotics.

Salvage 70+ rares and get Ectos.

Rares? Yeah, those work, but I found a way to get infinite ectos \ multiply my cash without really trying.

Buy lvl 70+ exotics and use black lion salvage kits of them. If you buy the right ones, the rune they have in them will sell for the same amount you paid for it (or more) and you get 1-5 ectos per usually. I seem to average about 2.5 per.

I've made 50+ gold doing this.

Edit:

Aw, I wanted to start a new thread for posting pics of characters, but the board is being buggy. Lets see some pics people! What are ya working with?

Pretty sure that's really similar to what a ton of people got banned for doing with crystals around release, I'd watch out.

I don't know anyone getting banned over crystals. Are you sure you do not mean karma?

There was a bug on one of the karma vendors near the start that had a weapon that cost 1/100th of the karma it was suppose to. People bought thousands of them and salvaged them for the materials \ rune to sell. The only reason they were banned was because it was obviously bugged, and they were exploiting that.

I'm just taking advantage of lazy people :D

Edit:

Decided to blow all of my cash on unid dyes, lol.

I haven't been, but my computer is loaded up with D3 bots, so I can't really play anything on it ATM. My previous business finally folded, so I have 4 servers being delivered to my house. Once try get here, I'll empty the bots off my main comp and be playing again.

It really is an awesome game. I haven't got to try the first "expansion" yet, but I hope it is fun.

Since its release in August of 2012 playing the subscription-free PC MMORPG Guild Wars 2 has been a simple matter of purchasing the initial game. Starting today you don’t even have to do that.

And the game will suffer for it. I'm more than happy paying a subscription for FFXIV, sorry but a well done game with a subscription model is going to be better than ftp, every.time.
