Ergonomic Gaming Mouse?

Anyone have any recommendations on a good ergonomic mouse for gaming? I have been playing a lot of League of Legends lately, which has a lot of mouse movement and it can get a little tense, and I'm finding that I'm having some pretty serious pain in my wrist, near the edge of my hand closest to my pinky. I'm almost certain that it has to be from the mouse I'm using, as that's the only real variable that has changed since the pain began.

I don't care if the mouse is wireless or has programmable buttons or anything, just that it doesn't give me wrist pain and that it functions well for gaming.

If you're getting RSI or carpal tunnel, you need to switch to a trackball.
There's not really any such thing as an ergonomic mouse except for those 3m joystick/mouse thingies. They help with wrist pain by putting your wrist in a different (more natural) position but doesn't ease the stress on your arm and shoulder.

I used the wireless trackman when I had a RSI flareup last year.

The G700 mouse is an ergonomic gaming mouse. Feels great. It has well placed buttons for gaming but is also just plain great for anything else as well. It's wireless to boot. There's a thread with a lot of info on it here:

Pain on the outside of the hand indicates compression on the median nerve.
Using a mouse that puts your hand is the traditional palm-down position will only make it worse.

it's an ergonomic mouse you idiot. Unless Sylvus is Stephen hawking, the G700 is ergonomically well designed for comfort more than most.

Trackballs are retarded. Let him waste his money on one of those I guess...then buy a decent traditional mouse.

There's a good chance that hand/arm placement may be a factor as well in the discomfort. Google a basic workstation ergonomic site and it might do wonders as well.

Actually I have and it has much more to do with your arm/wrist placement than the mouse you're using. I'll find a good site and post the link later. It's a matter of making sure you're body parts are in the right position.

Another thing to consider along with ergonomics is your mouse DPI/Speed. If you have your DPI/Speed set higher, you don't need to move your hand around much...if it's two low, then you're constantly moving your wrist/arm around.

I can move around my screen mostly with just my fingers on the mouse, never having to move my arm. That also cuts down on wear and tear issues.
