Post by Canelek »

Mom bought be a enameled cast iron Dutch Oven for Christmas. I've been looking around a bit and found some recipes worth trying... that said, anyone have the super-awesome recipes?

Well first you make cooked cabbage, then later that evening you pull the covers up over your girlfriends'...

I use mine for everything I can, even when not necessary or appropriate. My favorites are pot roast and chicken and 40 cloves.

Look for a good Osso Buco recipe. Yummy braised beef shank goodness.

Ohhh, good fucking call!

I <3 Osso Buco, but prefer other meat shanks than the traditional veal. Pork shank is good stuff!

Recipe?

Oh, and I may try that Alton Brown chicken recipe with all the garlic.

Thanks!

Going to try pork shanks next time. The beef shanks I had were so damn fatty! Maybe it was just what I had to work with. However, I have had some incredible pork shank Osso Buco, so may as well give that a whirl.

Still looking forward to trying out that chicken!

Agreed Canelek - while it was delicious - you'd just get some nasty pieces unfortunately. However the veggies/sauce over some jasmine rice were the fucking bomb!
