A very interesting article from wired.com sends the blogosphere in search of a reporter attempting to completely disappear.

There are also companion articles from participants in the mad hunt for Evan, which included cryptic puzzles tweeted, hints posted in the NY Times crossword and a completely fictitious identity, on the right side of the page. A good read. Apparently he did it as research into a story on people who fake their deaths/disappear. His research seems more interesting than the article!

good read but the experiment is kinda pointless

I agree. If someone is trying to disappear a month is nothing. Anyone can do that.
