2007 VV Telethon

Post by pyrella »

Updated: 2/22/07

It's about the time of year we usually ask for money

Soooooooooooo........While we're now on a month to month, and the lump sum isn't required up front, the amount remains the same. Past few months (last donation received 11/20), I've been swinging this entirely, and while I can continue to do so, I know a lot of you like to help - so....friendly reminder, if it's been about a year, and you love our dangling bits, stick a buck or 20 in our proverbial G-string, and Sylvus and Xou will give you the ride of your lives.

The donation page is at http://www.veeshanvault.org/donate.htm

Thanks as always - and any fixes that need to be made on the donation page, let me know. I'll get a new one going for 2007 as well.

Updated 5/18/06

Holy shit, it looks like we're still here! There's been some drama with the server, and some technical issues, and a host of other crap that keeps us busy as shit. Hopefully we're stable enough now, and we can start taking donations again.

To start:
The donation page is still at http://www.veeshanvault.org/donate.htm as always.

( a little cut n paste from last year with numbers/specs/stats adjusted)

There are links for both US and Canadian currency.

Please include in the comments section your VV name, and if you would like to remain anonymous or not.

PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR VV NAME

As always, thankyou guys for keeping this place up and running.

What we get:

for $150 a month -

2.8G Hyperthread processor
Hosting with 2.5TB/month in transfer.
1x250G drive
1x80G drive (backups)
1G memory
and most importantly a damn fast, and fairly latency free network.

The largest change from the years before is there is not a 'yearly' contract available, it is month to month. While the initial payment should be easily attainable, we will need a total of $1800 for the entire year. So in that light - we love the large donations, but now we also love the repeat donations - so keep em coming if you get an extra buck or 2, as always, we will record the donations, and let people know what's spent and when.

Thanks for keeping us around for so long, and we hope to be around for many years to come.

__________________________________________
So our one year on the new box is in......2 weeks.

This is the preliminary post where we can get a feel of who will be able to donate for the box again this year.

Once again, what we get:
for $1000 -
The box for another year
Hosting with 700GB/month in transfer.

This time they will give us the extra drive we leased, for free (our daily backup drive)
Also, if they have the same type stick for the machine we have, they will throw another 512 meg of ram into the box.

Sorry for the short notice. When we had originally called in January, we were told April 25th 2003 is when we had signed up. When I called today to confirm pricing and such to prepare for a post like this, they told me it was March 25th 2004 was our due date.

Paypal records do match up - so I apologize for waiting til the last minute. =(

Please post if you will be able to donate - I will be putting up the new donation page soon.

(Note: We don't have to come up with ALL of the money. I explained the situation to them, and as long as we have a few hundred for the first payment, they are cool with splitting them up since we are already established customers)

$1 CAD is (today) $0.8921 USD.

You owe $10.79 USD. Get it right this time. Or were you making a political statement?!

Well we've paid our first month - and we have enough in there for another 4 or 5. I did have 2 pending e-checks that I just posted this morning that cleared.

So far we're rocking it. I dunno if it's better to ask for a big sum once a year, or a smaller sum more frequently. But both seem to have panned out well over the years, so many thanks as always!

Py you should make a new thread or at least update the title to 2007. I don't click every thread and I think a lot of people don't.

I'll contribute a lil next week after I get paid.
