More proof...

Post by Marbus »

That GWB is a complete moron...

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/07/06/ ... index.html
When it comes to the most controversial single decision of his presidency -- invading Iraq -- the president told King he would make the same choice again, even knowing that Saddam Hussein's regime did not have weapons of mass destruction.

"We removed a tyrant," Bush said. "He was an enemy of the United States who harbored terrorists and who had the capacity, at the very minimum, to make weapons of mass destruction. And he was a true threat."
These statements alone prove that...

Sigh...

It amazes me that people can't put 2 and 2 together sometimes...

First of all, he was not a threat (strike 1), secondly he could not make WMD nor did he have them (strike 2) and thirdly it was none of our freakin' business to "remove a tyrant" it's not our job to police the world (strike 3).

So not only is that whole statement of his ridiculas, yet some people will read it and think "uh-uh good jarb W, I is proud a joo." is that THOUSANDs of Americans and TENS of thousands of Iraqs have died because of his decision and disire so some ego trip that was NOT necessary.

I'll take a guy who may or may not have been indecisive over a guy who decided to flush our world reputation down the toilet and make an entire region of the world completely offlimits for the forseeable future to any Americans not part of a platoon of marines...

I'm not going to argue that Kerry is better because there's no way of knowing that, and it would be pointless to argue it. I just have a hard time imagining anyone doing a worse job than Bush has done.

omg wiretapping you now you threat to national security marbus commie.

Edit: Question to Midnyte - Given the increased danger the US is now in after it's illegal war, the hundred thousand BARE minimum Iraqi fatalities, the isolation from the world community you have put yourself, the fact that iraq is in an absolutely worse state of affairs beyond anything your country expected, there are now more people committing evil acts in Iraq than before Saddam, there isn't even popular support for the war in the US, there were no wmds, the whole basis for war was a lie, human rights abuses in abu ghraib, etc etc etc how in fucks name do you think it was better to go into Iraq, than say...catprue the men responsible for 9'11?

If you come back with that retarded "OMG HE WAS A TYRANT" - then I ask why you aren't invading North korea right this minute, you know...because if that's your reason...you'd be a massive fucking hypocrite?

LMFAO. I guess actually serving your country in a fucking war and EARNING several medals of honor is more spineless than dodging one war completely and starting another from behind a fucking desk. Either that, or you are so unbelievably fucking stupid that you will gladly and ignorantly consume whatever propaganda this administration will expose you to.

You can make valid criticisms against Kerry, but if you actually believe that Kerry is more of a coward than the fucking puppet/monkey currently in the oval office you are more ignorant, deluded, moronic, and hypocritical than I could have imagined possible. Admitting you were completely duped into making the wrong decision is much harder than justifying that decision with this inane bullshit, but then again it is exactly that sort of mentality that you identify with and voted for, the mentality of a fucking caitiff. Birds of a feather...

Oh, you mean those medals they give out like candy to babies during any war. If he had any of those with a V device, then I might be somewhat appreciative, but I don't really care enough about Kerry to even bother to find out.

As far as his Purple Hearts go... all you need to 'qualify' is to be wounded by enemy fire. Yes, even a boo boo that mommy kisses to make better. There are stories of how he 'earned' those too.

As far as laughing at me goes, who cares... but at least I know that some lame politician didn't get awarded a MoH.

Right or wrong GWB is going to get a lot of pages in the history books and Clinton will get the blame for positioning the electorate to choose Bush over Gore. Kerry won't even get a paragraph- even I could have beaten Kerry.

I personally think GWB has done the right thing. Only time will tell. But I suspect a lot of you will be telling your grand children make-believe stories about how you were Bush patriots back in the day.

History will certainly remember a half trillion dollar (or 6% of the total national debt) invasion to remove a 2 bit dictator with no weapons of mass destruction. Debacles get remembered.

And while talking down about the 'candy' medals that Kerry got.. how do they compare to the ones Bush has? Which ones you ask? Exactly. The closest thing Bush has to a collection of medals would be his old office door name plates from the various companies that he ran into the ground. But hey, I bet they have gold lettering and a nice bold font.

And remember, if I ask you to vote on a bill that says your trash is to be picked up in a timely manner from your house, and you agree to it, then I later add on to that bill that I can come over and fuck your wife and daughter anytime I want before it goes to final vote.. don't change your yes vote! What if Iraq were merely a red herring?

GWB has taken on radical Islam. He's flushing the cockroaches out into the open where they can be stomped. He's drawn the worlds attention to a problem that could have blown up into WW3. I think he has defused a situtation that could have been hugely worse than the current pissing match. Yeah, there's a lot of bad press against him but it's been proven time and time again the press is just as shortsighted as the average moron on the street.

Hate him or love him, GWB is a President of consequence. I can't help but compare him to pantywaists like Clinton and Carter and say a prayer of relief.

You go back to Carter and the way he handled the Embassy takeover. That was an overt act of war. Carter was entirely within his rights to smoke Tehran and sweep up the dust. Instead he handled it like a pussy. And the Middle Eastern radicals have been walking all over us ever since. In the meantime there have been huge numbers of deaths that might have been prevented by the USA standing up to the aggression.

And all the blame America firsters can kiss my ass because they have no thought for the historical context of that era. There was going to be power projected to counter communisim and that's a fact of life.

To what end? To 'take on' a differing religious assfoolery is only declaring oneself as a member of an opposing assfoolery. It is assfoolery all around.

And he really isn't taking anything on. He has no stake, aside from his redneck fans, of which I will go ahead and make the assumption that you are a part of.

We were indeed pussified under Carter. Reagan merely had to take office to get the hostages released.

You need to beat some ass once in awhile if you carry a big stick otherwise it's waste. Since when has diplomacy ever worked? Pax Romana? They conqured before peace had a chance to flourish. We need to beat some more ass to give peace a chance!

I like the Japanese, but we had to beat some ass before we could really be friends!

British? Beat their ass!

Germans? Cool people, but needed several ass beatings!

It's time to put the mother of all smackdowns on the Middle East in the name of peace.

All weeeee are saaaaaying, is you need to beat some ass to give peace a chaaaance.

Too bad the whole issue wasn't about President Bush, it was false claims about how *snicker* GREAT Kerry was because of his medals.

Besides, who is in the Oval office. Apparently people value more than a few ribbons on a uniform (rightly so) .

If your government really wanted to find bin Laden, he'd be in jail in less than a month. It makes more sense to not find him and use him as a villain to justify unilateral military action anywhere in the middle east the bush administration wants.

I don't understand or care why you choose to debase yourself, it is when you debase the quest for truth, the protectors of your freedom, and the history and future of your own fucking country that offends me.

Ockam's razor has become dull and rusty...
Tell me again where you looked up the fact that Kerry was awarded 2 MoH? Shut up until you use that 'ability to look at facts' that you claim you have. I'm guilty of it (as shown in the thread in General where I was thinking of the wrong city name) but stating that Kerry was awarded 2 MoH is quite a bit more of a blunder than saying the wrong name of a city.

As far as the Veteran's and Soldiers... I am a veteran (served much, much longer than either Kerry or President Bush) and was a soldier who 'dodged bullets', so I feel I have the right to talk however I wish about the military.

"Or else... what?"

If you are trying to imply that we've stopped looking for bin Laden, then you're retarded. Try to read something besides the headline next time.
If your government really wanted to find bin Laden, he'd be in jail in less than a month. It makes more sense to not find him and use him as a villain to justify unilateral military action anywhere in the middle east the bush administration wants.
I think we should shift our attention to Canada instead. Since we can't seem to eliminate our dependence on oil, lets make a land grab for the nearest largest active supply. Then we can leave the Middle East alone.

Can do kyoukan a favor and get rid of a few of the Canadian rednecks that walk around in flannel saying 'Eh' all the time too.

Well, at least he was IN the war, compared to a certain other idiot who got the easy detail in the national guard, and couldnt even bother to show up there :)

You cheer for the draft dodgers in one case, then belittle someone who didn't go the 'legal' way in another case.

You'd fit right in with some known US political figures.

Whereas you'd fit perfectly into a mental hospital, or a clan rally or something equally ridiculous.

You fucking simpletons can't even secure half of baghdad and you are bragging about attacking a UN nation? Your complete lack of military experience once again demonstrates how full of shit you are.

Damn Met are you that stupid? Hopefully that was really a joke... because you DO realize that the people in Iran, including their freakin' crazy ass leader (I'm sure we agree on that) fuckin' HATE Bin Laden and his Islamic sect. What the hell do you think half the bombings are about in Iraq right now, girl scout cookies?

If the WH ever even tried to put that one forth I would hope it would be the last act of a dying party and the GOP could be wiped off the political spectrum. However the fact some Americans are so blind to what is going on, that will probably never happen... just goes to show that if you think of how stupid the average person is, remember that half the people are stupider than that... which I guess is why GWB is still President.
