So what does this mean? Basically that the game is undergoing more optimization, and more players are being let in to test. I personally alone know 3 people who have been invited in the last couple days. Pretty good news.Abigale wrote:Hello all!

Thanks for cutting through the confusing dialog of the Vanguard announcement with a clear and concise explanation, Rellix. If it wasn't for you translating that gibberish into terms understandable by common men, I fear most of us that aren't hip to their lingo would be left in the dark. Cheers!

Despite indicating that he thinks 180 meg patches are fun, Siji was using what is called sarcasm. In other words, he doesn;t think 180 meg patches are fun, but patches are a necessary evil in beta tests and if they fix bugs they are worth it.

I have met Brad McQuaid, and you sir are no Brad McQuaid.Actually, none of them have met Brad McQuaid.

So you played it someone's house or they lent you their info so you could install. Perhaps you should stop by our parts department and pick up a pair of testes; saying that you played it isn't going to get you or your friend banned, particularly if you don't mention who it was. Not only that, they have no way of getting your IP from here to match anything up(we're not going to give it to them) and your choice of login/character name isn't so original that they could find you with any certainty.
Besides, it'd be silly of them to ban someone who is so fervently proselytizing (read: smoking pole) for their product. Sack up, admit you've played it, and write from that perspective.

I did write from that perspective.
Ask the folks in IRC if you really bothers you to know for sure whether I'm in or not. I would think with all the hints thus far, it's pretty obvious.Rellix wrote:Yes.kyoukan wrote:I just got an invite to this beta today. Is it worth trying it out?

I don't really care one way or the other, I'm not particularly excited for the game and I didn't even bother trying to get into the beta. Though I'll likely check it out when it's released as I do with most mmo's. I'm just saying that you're being kind of cryptic and if it's because you're afraid of something, you don't really have anything to worry about.Rellix wrote:I did write from that perspective.Ask the folks in IRC if you really bothers you to know for sure whether I'm in or not. I should start a poll to see if I should abuse my mod powers on Rellix

I'm not afraid of exposing myself - there's been plenty of people who've mentioned it on VV already, and plenty who haven't. I honestly dont see a reason to do it. It doesn't make you look better or any more knowledgable. If anything I personally consider it a shameless attempt to get attention. Bragging rights? Who cares, your name was selected out of 30,000 - good job fitting the right specifications for a preferred tester and then getting picked at random?Sylvus wrote:I don't really care one way or the other, I'm not particularly excited for the game and I didn't even bother trying to get into the beta. I strangely enough feel the same way, which is why I don't see why people are making such a big deal out of whether or not I'm involved.Aslanna wrote:I think it's safe to safe the majority don't care who is in beta and who isn't.

Sigh, let's just get a couple things straight:
1) I'm a fan of the game.
2) I'm following it pretty closely - chances are it's my next "big game."
3) I view the game as "worth trying out" at this point. This judgement is based on personal experience.
4) My opinion of the game is not one-sided or slanted in any manner.
5) I have never and will never "suck off" one Brad McQuaid, nor have I ever met him or spoken with him in person. The only time I've ever "conversed" (if you can even call it that) with him is posting on the official forums and us responding back and forth on a few separate occasions. Furthermore, not my head nor any other body part of mine has ever been inside his rectum at any time.

I was just wondering if you were in it because you seem to be the game's biggest advocate on this site. Saying something is the best thing since sliced bread without ever having experienced it for yourself carries less weight than if you were actually in it. That's all I was getting at.
But now I know, and knowing is 48-52% of the battle.

My theory is that by the time Rellix jumped on the band wagon, the McQuaid already had more cock suckers lined up than he'd ever be able to actually use. Consequently, Rellix was pressed into service perpetually deep rimming McQuaid's dank man hole in exchange for his beta invite. His answer was honest - he does not suck off Brad.
