I Have Resubbed

Post by noel »

I'm on Guardian as N-man Rad/Rad defender.

The game is still horribly repetitive, but also still a bit of fun in small doses. YMMV.

I mostly blame Winnow for making the comics forum such a great place.

I still have Cobalt Fire and N-man (scrapper) on Victory, so I'll probably play them from time to time. :D

On an unrelated note, I love how if *I* say a post is in a wrong forum or something Aslanna has a fucking cow, but if someone quotes someone else with a huge quote, or if a forum isn't seeing enough use, she's ready and willing to play moderator.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. It's just a simple comment and has nothing to do with moderation. It's not my fault you're playing a game that just about nobody else here is. But yeah whatever. It's not a wasted forum if noel posts here.

If you mean there are more people playing on Veesha-- err Luclin than on Victory, you're probably right. Buf if you mean there are more active vault posters playing on Luclin than on Victory, I'm willing to bet it would be closer than you think.

Just stopping by to see who resurrected this dead forum. Just to keep with the flow of arguing over stupid shit no one really cares about, EQ1 was 5 times the game CoH will ever hope to become. It will last infinately longer as well. However, CoH does have the best character creator ever seen in a MMORPG.

Carry on!

The character creater was fun. Someone should release a game that is made up entirely of just character generators.

If you think the character creator is cool now, just wait until Issue 4 goes live.

I still play CoH (mostly on Virtue), and find it a much better game than EQ was. Then again, I'm one of those goobers that likes to solo meaningful content from time to time.

I re-subbed when Issue 2 came out to see what was going on. Regretted doing it at about 20 minutes into it.

This game is a novelty and has no lasting appeal.

I definitely understand what you're saying Animalor. I want to be clear in stating that nothing has really changed from when we played before. The game is still very simple and very repetitive. They're about to open 'The Arena' which will allow players to duel (probably a good prep for CoV).

My reasons for resubbing are the following:
1. The game is very solo friendly.
2. Doesn't require a ridiculous time investment (I just don't have the time).
3. The current crop of MMOGs just don't do it for me.
4. I like the graphics, the theme, etc.

But again, nothing has really changed. So if you got bored with it before, you'll probably get bored with it again.

Super-reflexes is insane now. You would need to respec into the build or be prepared to die a hell of a lot in pve (and forget about ever exemplaring, heh), but ...

Elude with six-slotted HO: 168 DEF
Dodge, Lucky, Agile with SOs: another 22 DEF
Add Combat Jumping 2-slotted with SOs and you're at 198 Def. For a scrapper. Under the weird PVP rules where 200 DEF apparently puts you at the def cap - even attacks slotted with 6HO acc's will hit you only 5% of the time - you'll be pretty much invincible.

Insaaaaaaaane.

The Arena will help tide over the repetitiveness of CoH but I always like joining random groups to help add a little flavor. I found that when I play with the same people, there's little to no risk since we're used to each others powers.

But taking those powers against other super heroes... wow its gonna be fun. Until that gets old too..

I may also pick it up if Drolgin continues his harassment. :D

On a side note, this thing I saw on the FOH forums was quite interesting, about how the Devs for COH were testing something (regeneration) and it became apparant that their servers were not like the live servers, quite the fuck up it seems.

Yet in fairness the Dev "Statesman" was capable of apologising to his player base, unlike some dev's........which I though was cool.
