Toronto People help!

Post by Dregor Thule »

I'm going to school at the Toronto Film School in the CBC building down at John and Front.. I'm not really familiar with Toronto and, wouldn't you know it, I can't find a Tim Hortons. I know, I'm shocked too. If any of you know where one is that's pretty close, if one exists, please, help!

Closest one to me is on Adelaide, just east of York.
It's about a 7-8 minute walk from you.
Go north on John up to Adelaide.
Ge east on Adelaide and you'll see Tims at the 5th set of lights... Sheppard is the name of the street, I think. It's opposite First Canadian Place (the big white building) :) .

Bah, I'm thinking of some other place I saw when I was in Calgary several times like a year ago... >< Can't remember the name, my bad.

It is amazing that there are not very many Tim's in the downtown core of Toronto. In the suburbs you find them on almost every corner.

Second Cup and Starbucks seem to have the downtown area locked up.

Tim Hortons is pretty big in Ohio. I love their food. They also have the best sprinkled doughnut I have ever eaten. Homer Simpson would be proud.

The building just to the north of the CBC building is called Metro Hall. In the basement of Metro Hall is a new Tim Hortons. Opened sometime early this year.

Enjoy.

You're my fucking hero! I've been trying to coffee from the various coffee shops in the food court under the CBC building, and it's just not cutting it!

Thank you.

Uhm, counting the aforementioned one in Metro Hall, there are now 5 Tim Hortons within a 5-6 minute walk from my desk.

Yea Tim Hortons and Wendys have something going on. Wendy's is based here in Columbus, Ohio. We have a lot of Wendys/Tim Hortons combo places.

I am thinking of opening a store here in Southern California selling Canadian products for people that want more in life like:

1. Good Beer
2. Good Cigarettes
3. Good Cookies
4. Good Coffee
5. Good Chocolate
6. Real Maple Syrup
7. Swiss Chalet style chicken
8. Milk in BAGS

I am sure I will come up with more later but this is a start.

Queen and Bay
Yonge and Richmond
Yonge and Queen
Scotia Plaza
King and York
Queen and Bay (across from city hall)
Temperance and Bay
Adelaide and Sheppard
York and Wellington
Union Station
Exchange Tower
Metro Hall

I'm sure I missed a few but that's a dozen within a 5 minute walk of King and Bay.... crazy oversaturation of coffee shops down here. Tim's just exploded in the downtown core in the past couple of years.

A lot of the Timmies are hidden within actual buildings. I just found two near the Eaton Center recently and didn't even know they were there :)

As well I assume there are more high rollers in most of these buildings so they can actually afford Starbucks and Second Cup coffee (in comparasion to Tim Hortons)
