Soda or Pop?

Since I have moved to Iowa, everyone here refers to soft drinks as pop. WTF???

I have always said soda.

What do you call soft drinks?

Well since there have only been two prior polls. I agree!!

The other polls included coke. I wanted to know the difference between pop and soda.

If you read the mulitple threads regarding this (I only linked two polls) you will see that it was fully determined to be REGIONAL. There is no right or wrong. The reposting of threads that have been beaten to death are annoying as hell.

You are correct it is regional. Where I lived before all I knew was soda, so I guess the numerous post about this subject. I just over looked because I didnt get it.

I clicked on it, did a search for "soda" and posted the polls that directly asked the question. If I held a plate full of fresh llama shit under the nose would you not inhale because you knew it would stink? No, you would probably swing at the plate to get it out of your face.
