Grading of the States

Post by Knibble »

PENNSYLVANIA RECEIVES "B"GRADE FOR MANAGEMENT
A new national study about the the management of state governments shows Pennsylvania in the middle of the pack. The "Grading the States 2005" report gives Pennsylvania a solid "B" average in ratings of how well it manages money, employees, infrastructure and information.

Wonder where I can find this for all the states.I think Pa cheated! If they had better looked into it they would find the city I live in almost went bankrupt. The local water company lent the city money and raised our water bills! :x

It's extremely close but Arizona edged out Nevada in overall GPA!

I can't believe that Alabama didn't score lower. This state is a mess, and it's getting worse by the month. The current governer (a Jesus freak conservative) is in danger of losing to Judge Roy Moore (of 10 Commandments fame) next year. No democrat seems to stand much of a chance at this point.

I'd give Ohio a F not a B.. Cleveland in particular but Ohio in general. Maybe a low D.

I agree with you Kelshara. I don't know what the hell they're talking about. Taft is a moron and his wife is worse. He couldn't even push legislation to bring jobs here a year or two ago. Really, the only city in Ohio that's growing at a decent rate is Columbus.

I'd give Nevada a D as well.

I've never witnessed such a poorly run state.

Nevada will always receive an A for 24 hour liquor stores....not that you should be boozing it up constantly but because NV doesn't give in to religious pressure to close them...and that with the flood of mormans coming into the state from Utah.

Taking the world's money via the gambling industry to keep state taxes low is also worthy of an A.

PA gets a D from me. No jobs, No growth, All Poverty, All the time.

sounds like an ad for a 24 hour unemployment channel.

I'll make a predicition that most people will give their states low grades except for some of the southern states, particularly Texas.

Hey, man I'm getting a top notch college education from a state university for chump change compared to other public colleges. And just happens to be in Texas. :D They must be doing something correct.
