The dark side of group member death experience debt

Post by Zygar_ Cthulhukin »

I haven't done a lot of grouping in my EQII career, mostly soloing/questing/crafting. Last night however I got the urge to slaughter stuff so I went /lfg. I got invited to a group and accepted. They were killing crows in eastern Antonica and I was over by Qeynos. By the time I got there one of the group members had already died not once but twice. I get the exp penalty but not the exp for the mobs killed because I was too far away.
Likewise, when one of our group left and we invited a new member they died twice before they made it to the group. Again another double hit of debt. Needless to say it sucked. Anyone else experience this or is it my own fualt for grouping with the clueless?

Your best bet is to never invite someone to the group before they get to the campspot. Secondly, Most people are retarded and do not know how to navigate around mobs without getting aggro. Even being somewhat low in levels, I have almost cleared the maps for T. Steppes and Nektulos without dying once.

Would be nice if they changed the debt code so only people who were on somethings aggro list would be dinged for debt on deaths. Or perhaps a range limitation or something, so pullers dont get hosed.

Nneena, what route do you take through Nektulos?
I've run through only a handful of times and I get pummelled within an inch of my life each run.

I just stick to the path and keep turning right. What's your secret?

Being a Templar does not make life better with ths experience game. People still run during battle. They run. They run out of heal range. They run and aggro other mobs. They run.

How the fuck is this my fault and my debt? I am solo or I get in group two levels above me. Jus ta game dynamic SOE didn't factor in.

per SOEs knee jerk reactions to otehr issues, they will bend over backwards to prevent any exploits at the sacrifce of game play.

Nex tFan Faire I attend, I punching some developer in the goddamn neck.

it's bothering me how easy and available solo mobs were to find up to lvl 18-19... and now I can't seem to find a good spot to hang out... I hafta wander around half of antonica looking and looking for yellow/orange...

i don't get to play long enough to get into a group. being a cleric i feel bad joining a group only to leave 30-40 minutes later... if i was DPS it'd be another story....

struggling 19 cleric, 14 outfitter.

the night before this TS patch, all of my thundering steppes fishing resources were bought.....
the night after this TS patch, not one sold.
