Fantasy Football Week 8
What a week of Piss me Off play. First off, Rich Gannon gave into the pressure that he wasn't spreading the ball around enough and that he favored Jerry Rice. I have both Gannon and Rice so when Gannon doesn't pass to Rice is really screws over my stats. Tim Brown got the first 3 passes of the game and a whole bunch more later. Gannon did alright for me by throwing over 300 yards in his 6th straight game but the Raiders still managed to lose.
Last night's game should have been called the Donovan McNabb show because that bastard ran for almost as many yards as he passed for. 112 yards rushing didn't help my Pinkston and Lewis get any points. McNabb was getting criticized for not doing the things that Vick and Brooks can do so as a result he felt he had to prove them wrong and spend most of his time running the ball. On the Giants side, Collins looked like shit but Shockey kicked ass.
Thank God that Ahman Green will be back in my line up next week. I lost this week without him but it was against a team that had 3 players on a bye. I feel so tainted.

Can someone please explain what happened to Donald Driver? He was doing great for me until the last two games (before their bye week). Then he only scored me two points in my league each of those games.
They are back on Monday vs. the Dolphins, but I'm unsure whether or not I should start him. Has he just been having a couple bad games, or is he having some major issues?

He was probably doing so great they decided to double cover him most of the last couple of games, so Favre couldn't throw to him. Also, Favre was out most of the last game they played, and I dunno if Pederson threw to him much. I don't get many of the games on tv here. =( Stupid Tampa Bay.

Hehe. I have both Tim Brown and McNabb, so I was happy with both. Their play helped me win during Faulk's bye week.
As for Driver, hard to say. I have him too and think he's still a definite start each week, as long as Farve is healthy. WR stats are never as consistant as RBs (look at Boston, Harrison, Moss as examples) so as long as he has good match ups, I will start him. GB is one of the top 3 teams in the NFC and with Green running as well as he has been, it should open up the passing game more.
I don't have any of my starters on bye this week
, so looking forward to a good weekend.

Freaking McNabb screwed me. I lost because he rushed so damn much. At the least the way my league does scoring you get more points from rush then passing yards.
Packer bye week didn't help me either. No Favre = bad
I am a packer fan though so it was good that he got some rest after getting hurt.

Driver will be back in good form this Monday. Like Xouqua said, Favre was out for most of the game last week. With the lead we had it was safer to let Pederson hand the ball off than try to make something happen through the air. With Favre back we should have lots of passing. I just hope he passes to Green too.
In my league QB's get a point per completion and WR get a point per catch. Then tack on 1 point per 20 yards. RB get 1 point per 15 yards rushing. I plan on changing that next year to 1 point per 10 yards to even things out a bit.
Next year I think we should have a Vault League.

In my league this week is the third week of the second round...
First round, I was undefeated by large margins...
Second round, I'm losing pitifully...and still ahead in points by over a hundred points...but fourth in standings.
>< football is really my second least favorite sport
and I missed joining a NHL league because my league doesn't like hockey....heresy

Donald Driver is a mediocre Wide receiver elevated to a good level by an awesome quarterback that was uncomfortable with the rest of his choices. Most of GB's receivers were injured during training camp and Driver was the only guy Favre had to throw to in practice. Now that Favre is more comfortable with the other receivers he has, expect Driver to see the ball less and less. He will still have an occasional breakout game I think but he will be inconsistent down the stretch. I would trade him.

Rumors have it that Stephen Davis and Jerome Bettis will not be playing this week so make the needed adjustments for your teams if you have them. Davis's replacement is Watson and Bettis's replacement is Zereoue.
Washington is going against Seattle's weakest in the NFL run defense so picking up Watson might be a good move. I know I had to and I am hoping they make a solid decision.
