Manchurian Candidate

Post by Kluden »

Saw this friday night. While I have yet to see the original, I thought this was a horrible movie. What a fantastic story line though!

This movie could have been so much more. I imagine that the original was that, but I can't comment on that until I rent it. This movie is "told" to you the entire time. You have to do absolutelyl ZERO thinking for yourself. A child of the ripe age of 2 would get just as much out of this movie as you, because they leave nothing up to the viewer. Force fed is the term i believe that best describes this movies progress.

Once again though, what a fun storyline...if only a capable director and studio had produced this movie...if only....

I don't mind remakes, and this was an ok movie on it's own, but it's not nearly as good as the orininal. Some of the writing and acting was really shitty in parts. Some scenes were just plain cheesy. You much watch the original, it is far better.

I've seen the original and remembered it being very excellent. Not sure if I want to taint it by watching this :(

Haven't seen this yet but I'll get to it. I too heard the original was a far better flick. But since I haven't seen the first one I likely won't be disappointed :D

Never saw the first one. This one wasn't that bad. But nothing overly spectacular.

6/10

Based on Aslanna's 6/10 review, I'm not going to see this movie! 7/10 is where I draw the line.
