Another great one. If half those things are true it is a great accomplishment. I'm so proud of their amazing progress in such a short time.This is a letter from Ray Reynolds, a medic in the Iowa Army National Guard, serving in Iraq:
As I head off to Baghdad for the final weeks of my stay in Iraq, I wanted to say thanks to all of you who did not believe the media. They have done a very poor job of covering everything that has happened. I am sorry that I have not been able to visit all of you during my two week leave back home. And just so you can rest at night knowing something is happening in Iraq that is noteworthy, I thought I would pass this on to you. This is the list of things that has happened in Iraq recently: (Please share it with your friends and compare it to the version that your paper is producing.)
* Over 400,000 kids have up-to-date immunizations.
* School attendance is up 80% from levels before the war.
* Over 1,500 schools have been renovated and rid of the weapons store there so education
can occur.
* The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so grain can be off-loaded from ships faster.
* The country had its first 2 billion barrel export of oil in August.
* Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water for the first time ever in Iraq.
* The country now receives 2 times the electrical power it did before the war.
* 100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed, compared to 35% before the war.
* Elections are taking place in every major city, and city councils are in place.
* Sewer and water lines are installed in every major city.
* Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
* Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are securing the country.
* Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the streets side by side with US soldiers.
* Over 400,000 people have telephones for the first time ever.
* Students are taught field sanitation and hand washi ng techniques to prevent the spread of
germs.
* An interim constitution has been signed.
* Girls are allowed to attend school.
* Textbooks that don't mention Saddam are in the schools for the first time in 30 years. Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us there. I have met many, many people from Iraq that want us there, and in a bad way. They say they will never see the freedoms we talk about but they hope their children will. We are doing a good job in Iraq and I challenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts.
So If you happen to run into John Kerry, be sure to give him my email address and send him to Denison, Iowa. This soldier will set him straight. If you are like me and very disgusted with how this period of rebuilding has been portrayed, email this to a friend and let them know there are good things happening.

As I said the last time one of you trolling jackasses posted this crap, it doesn't even pass basic credibility tests.
There's not a fucking country in the western world that can claim that statistic, and yet Iraq can...?100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed, compared to 35% before the war.

Shouldn't this e-mail also list the staggering number of babies and puppies rescued from burning buildings set alight by careless flag-burning hippies? I want to hear more about that.

It's not only about the chain letter. I love the military emails. It made me think about the accomplishments instead of wallowing in the negativity that is the media and bitter fucks like many on this board. Above is the same fuckign link I put up in the beginning of the thread. They discuss many of the same things discussed in the email. Yes the email is blown up, but it gets accrossed the pointMidnyte_Ragebringer wrote:http://www.usaid.gov/press/factsheets/2 ... 40318.html

Another great one. If half of those things are true it is a great accomplishment. I'm so proud of Jesus' amazing works in such a short time on earth.A forwarded email wrote:This is a letter from Father Clancy Swanson, a pastor in the Fragrance of Jesus Church in Flint, MI:
As I relax in the rectory, I wanted to thank Jesus for all that he has done for everyone. I mean, he died for our sins. How cool is that? I am sorry that all of you have not been able to visit our parish for a service, charity drive or toss-about. And just so you can rest at night knowing that Jesus was way cool, I thought I would pass this on to you. This is a list of facts about Jesus: (Please share it with your friends and compare it to the version that the church newsletter is reprinting.)
* Jesus was a space alien
* He single-handedly defeated all of the Carthiginian army and their war elephants, led by Hannibal, in the third century B.C.
* Jesus was one of the foremost authorities of his time on making Preserves, and won the Galilee Jelly-Off the first 6 consecutive years of its existence
* He was ambidextrous
* Jesus and his sidekick, Bibley the talking Bible, fought crime with their own brand of vigilante justice.
* While he befriended lepers, prostitutes and jews alike, he was very prejudiced against the obese. His prized possession was a robe with "No Fat Chicks" embroidered on the back.
* 100% of the arm wrestling exhibitions between Jesus and Egyptian Sun God Ra sold out Jerusalem Square Garden.
* Jesus is Mel Gibson's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great granduncle.
* Everyone loves Jesus. Don't believe for one second that everyone doesn't love Jesus. I have met many, many people from around the world that need jesus, and in a bad way. They say they will never see the Kingdom of God but they hope their children will. We are doing a good job spreading the teachings of Jesus, and I challenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts.
So if you happen to run into Steve Gutenberg, be sure to give him my email address and send him to Flint, Michigan. This priest will set him straight, that Gutenberg Bible of his is hogwash. If you are like me and very disgusted with how this period of truth-spreading has been portrayed, email this to a friend and let them know the good works of the Lord.

Dude, you need to clean the needle or something, I'm not even a liberal. I just abhor stupid.
The humorous (by my estimation) exaggeration that I posted was merely to point out how silly it is for anyone to post any forwarded email that they ever get as fact. The main gist of both of the reprintings that we posted was completely false, and adding a credible "source" as being even more information when the source does not back up any of the claims of the email is asinine.
For some reason you still can't see that.
