Never in all my years of watching football have I seen such horrible reciever play. They were totally beyond incompetant except for Mitchell who was the only one who showed up to play. Dropping all those passes to running the wrong routes which caused INTs to giving up on the play...unbelieveable.

I was pretty baffled that they just didn't stick with their run game. Their receivers are known to be pretty bad save Mitchell. Meanwhile, they were running well when they actually started to do it in the third quarter. Staley was again doing the bump and roll successfully.

Really though, the better team got in, so it's no big deal to me, just wish it wasn't so fustrating to watch from a football fan perspective

As great as the games were the last month or so... This weekend's games were atrocities. Looked to me like week 1 or 2 football, not division championships.

How about some credit to the Panthers and Pats defenses for making them look like atrocities. The defensive backs for both the Pats and Panthers laid some wicked hits on those wideouts which IMO made them think twice before going over the middle and caused quite a few of those dropped balls.

With the superbowl on the line there is no excuse for dropping as many passes as they did. Not only that, but they ran incorrect routes which led directly to INT's. They get paid to catch the ball in hostile situations and they failed miserably.

Agreed, I'm just saying that the DB's of Carolina and New England laid some vicious hits on the Philly and Indy receivers in those games.

Most memorable being the New England should to helmet hit on the guy in midair. That must have hurt.
