i made it exactly like college. I was weighing my options on the spread, but figured it would be hard for some people.

Never did this before so it should be fun in any regards. Should we pony up some VV's for the over all winner? I'll add 50k VV to the pot.

of course
I will switch to point spread next week. That way it wont throw off the people who have already picked for this week.

I did OK in week 1, woulda had another point if I had joined before Thursday's game. I'm glad I'm better at this than the college one, dead last there.

Don't sweat it. Most of us joined after the Thursday game. I am a sucker for upsets and naive enough to think that maybe, just maybe it is the Bengals year to shine. Not that I am a big Bengals fan but I like the look.

Ditto, but what can you do. Still only got 8 this week, not as if that's a winner anyway

I am determined to continue picking the Bengals to win! Also, any team against the Vikings cause I really hate those Vikings.

There any way you can drop the first couple of weeks? I missed them and they are killing my score/average. =(

Just drop the first week. I missed that one too. And if you dropped it, I'd be in first place
Ive had double digit wins in each week Ive entered so far.

Bah I finally have a really good week (by my standards) and thought I might gain some ground because I figured I was the only one to pick the Bengals but I end up losing ground. Mutter.

I'm surprised, Bubba, you strike me as the kind of guy who'd have taken Detroit on turkey day knowing how competitive they are that day.
Noone picked Miami and Jacksonville is playing killer ball of late. Should be an awesome weekend coming up.

I have been playing in a survivor football league for fun with a bunch of guys. You only get to pick a team once. For fun I decided I would go the most bizarre upset picks each week to see how I would do. It started with Bengals beating the Chiefs, then Bears to beat Broncos in Denver, then Jaguars to be the Buccs, and I am still alive with my pick of the Falcons over the Panthers. Now that is some crazy shit.
I thought I would take this luck to the game under this thread and I sucked mightily.

My upset pick for this week is Oakland over Baltimore. I would have gone for a bigger longshot like Bears over Vikings but I already used the Bears.

Your intuition was solid. Baltimore was in a must-win situation so I didn't bet against them but I knew I should have shit on the Vikings.
And the Giants, holy christ does my team suck shit

Thanks
I am actually surprised I won, I didn't read anything experts said most of the time (and the few times I did follow them I lost heh), went by gut instinct most of the time and followed my heart other times.
Was fun though, enjoyed it
Good showing, guys!

Agreed, good job. you seemed to be on top every week. Solid showing indeed.
I came on the last few weeks but my spotty arrivals hurt. However, it wouldn't have been enough to win anyway because of the solid picks by Kel.
