hell yeah!

He cut it really close! He said he was out of shape, who knows, i think hes just getting old. But you can be in cycling until you're 35 if you keep in shape. Lance will have to spend every day training harder if he wants a 6th title!

Ullrich must be tired of comming in second!

Anyway, is lance married? or did he get a divorce? I was just wondering.. cause i saw his family, and i dont see where he would have time to spend with them.

I've seen a few confirmations that he did in fact lose 15 lbs in the second Time Trial. He spent the next few evenings hooked up to an IV.

There was a lot of shit going on for him during the Tour. He was still suffering from the crash in the Dauphine Libere, he had changed his pedals and shoes prior to the Tour and was experiencing tendonitis in his hips, and add to that all the inexplicable crap that was going on during the tour; crashes, attacks, etc. He's stated more than once it was easily the most stressful difficult Tour he'd ever been in.

I believe the 11 lbs thing. That's not altogether uncommon. They try to eat 6000+ calories a day, but they're burning far more than that, and just like when normal people burn more caloies than they intake, they lose weight.

He's still married, and I believe he and his wife had their 3rd child in the last couple years if I am not mistaken. Each year after he gets back to Austin, there is usually a big celebration for his victories. Fun to watch actually since he seems to be pretty much "matter of fact" about things. One thing I have noticed is that he never says things about winning next year, it's always about the current and/or past races. When I mention what he talks about, I am talking about locally.

He's got a son named Luke, and two twin daughters. He's still with his wife, though during the last offseason they separated briefly. By all accounts they're back together, and it was never made known why they were apart.
