Do we have any extra trial keys floating around?

Post by Kaldaur »

I know a few people had them earlier. I wanted to give the game a test run and see how it's working with my system now that it's been a few months after beta.

I posted my buddy key a couple months ago. I don't know if someone used it or not.

I just started playing yesterday on my station pass. I was extremely surprised in a positive way about the game overall. Having lots of fun.

Thanks a bunch Mid :) Since my college network doesn't allow me to play LoTR with you guys, I had to have something to fill my little gaps of free time. The account key worked, and I'll be giving it a try in a few hours.

I'm not too optimistic. My system is a piece of garbage.

2.8 ghz, 128 video card, gig of ram...that's the basics i think. It's right at the minimum requirements.
Beta was choppy at best, but I'm hoping the game has stabilized a little.

Vanguard looks like it could be awesome if you literally had no life and could spend all of it in a game. Then again I only tried it out for like half an hour so what do I know.

I definitely got the famous "shudders of delight" that I got when I first played EQ (although they weren't as strong).

WoW never gave me that.

Would you say the best MMORPG out there at the moment?

I dunno, I didn't really get to play it long enough and the computer I was on wasn't good enough (even though by all reasonable standards it's a decent enough machine).

I definitely thought it looked interesting, but probably more for someone who can really devote the time to it, I can't speak for anything outside the newbie zone I was in though, the game could be a complete load of crap for all I know.

It reminded me of EQ a lot.

After playing for a couple of days (tried 4 classes), I think this is the best one out there. Kwon, the monk moves look awesome and they have done the best job of any MMORPG with incorporating special attacks into the har animations (flying kick, etc). Depending on which moves you use, your character flows through combat in very different ways.

I have been playing a monk and there are three main weapon types available to monks that I have seen (hand wraps, windblade (nomad sword), and martial staff). The animations for all three are great.

I am enjoying it a lot even though I do not have much time to play. So far, my main is a level 10 monk.

Yeah, that was my main interest with Vanguard, the monk-system, not only do i miss all the kick-anims from EQ2, but in Vanguard there are three specializations, Dragon, Drunken and Harmonious! :)

Dragon Style for DPS and AEs.

Drunken for Off-tanking and aggro-steals (to protect the weak) and the best Feign Death.

Harmonious Body for lots of buffs and benefits for the group.

Still LoTR is interesting too with it's scenery and setting.

Havent decided yet, miir promised me some Monk gameplay moves :D
