UI?

Post by Canelek »

Any good UI's out there? I use eq2maps, and that rocks, but was looking for some other good plugins--mainly for hotbar management and tradeskills, pricing, etc.

thanks!

I just use the default.
You can open as many hotbars as you want... you can modify the size and orientation as well as cycling through which ones you want to use a primary (#), secondary (ALT+#) and tertiary (CTRL+#).

I can't think of how the tradeskill interface would need improvement. It automatically selects the correct reaction arts.

I already use the primary, CTRL, ALT bars, plus other bars for buffs, poisons, etc. Was hoping there was something a little more organized.

My main issue is with the buff bar and that for some reason, I am unable to scale it past like 8 showing buffs. Whenever I try to drag it, my whole PoV moves and it does not say it is locked. Baffling to me although it probably is something simple.

The other is HP/Power %. I would rather see a the % meter with a clear 80%, etc...

should be a setting for click through in the windows property box. uncheck that and you should be able to get the box to move.

I use ProfitUI and like it a lot. You can find it at EQ2 Interfaces.

I also use ProfitUI after Avanna recommended it in group the other night. I'd already looked at it and thought it looked good, but her endorsement won me over. It's got killer stuff for healers. You can just click an effect on yourself of someone else (arcane/elemental etc) and you cast the appropriate cure to remove it (I believe without re-targeting!). I just switched the other day before I hit Kunark and it reminds me a lot of the UI I used in EQ1 (Soes), but with most of the screen exposed.

It's not just for healers. It is tailored to every class.
Like as a necro in a group I have buttons for each person to cure arcane, splintered heart, life transfer, and res without losing my target.

That sounds pretty sweet! I will check it out soon. I spent all last night figuring out new macros, memorizing CA function and (fruitlessly) farming for silicate loam.

I did have a couple alkalai loam in bank so grouchy could make Amazing Reflexes and Double Up(FUCKING WIN) for me.

Oh, and I was able to disable clickthrough option to fix my buff bar. :)\

thanks!

I need to go back to Sky or LP or somewhere and get the last 5 points or so I need in my gathering skills to be able to reap teh Kunark goodies. Looks like I should do that sooner rather than later, huh?

So is that loams for all of your Combat Arts 70+?
Ugh, so what do I need for my Priest Tier 8s? Rough Fire Emeralds?

Looks like that is the case...

Fire Emeralds (on Perma) are like half the price of loams.... maybe even less.
I was gonna sell my stack (think I have like 20) but decided to save them for the templar I'm leveling up.

Yeah, that drach caves are good. I was there the other night to no avail on anything. Much more sparse in Fens, however I think there are some good number of nodes in Yeti caves. I have only gotten a soft metal rare from my time in RoK.

Thanks man! I will keep plugging away as well and hopefully will get you some FEs.
