More Lineage 2 Beta Picts

Post by Winnow »

I wanted to show some of the things I think are cool about the graphics in Lineage.

Here's me battling an Orc Archer. Notice the arrow stuck in my side. That bastard!

Image

Close up of arrows after battle. They only stay 10 seconds or so but makes for a more realistic fight with archers.
He kept firing and running away to try and get distance to shoot again:

Image

Here's a nice picture of another mob. I really like the detail put into each mob close up as well as all battle animations:

Image

Another shot with some of the interface:

Image

So far the game is a lot of hack and slashing mobs until level 20 when you start to branch off with specialized skills.

lol, aye, the dorf female is the only one that looks like she's straight out of an anime movie.
The rest of the females in Lineage have a different slutty look to them.
I chose the female dorf because I'm a perv.

All around great artwork even if it is geared toward the "sex sells" mentality.

Lineage 2 seems to specialize in panty-shots! :D

Good graphics though, and seems to have MUCH better fight-animations and moves than good ol EQ!

Those pics are of mostly fighting classes, the casters look slightly different. I haven't really had such a terrible time logging in, tho it might take several attempts, it hasn't been so bad. Initially yeah its pretty boring doing the mindless clicking, it does look interesting later as you can branch out.

I look at Lineage 2 graphics (and sound) and then at EQ2 screenshots of their models and I wonder WTF SOE is thinking.

I haven't seen WoW actual gameplay yet but it looks a little too cartoony for me (unlike the female Lineage 2 dwarves! : )

As I understand it, Lineage will be adding additional face choices and I hope a little more variance in equipment to diversify the looks. There are only two faces, maybe 3 or 4 hairstyles and only two shades of redhair for female dwarves as an example. Until you get a hiked up skirt later on, they all have the Lora Croft kiddy show Tombraider look.

I'd want a little better interface as well..stuck with one little chat window for everything atm. EQ has done very well with allowing customization of the UI.

So do panties drop frequently, or are you stuck with just one pair?

Panties are the most customizable item in the game. You'll go far with a good set of panties.

Adjustments:

Skirt Length and animation: Hiked or High spin move animation
Panty Type: too many to list
Breasts: Large, Larger and Largest

Animated Emotes:

High Leg Victory Kick
Splits (medding)
Bend and Snap (LFG)
Ankle Grabber Taunt

Well, I really like the "cartoony" look of WoW. If I want "real life" graphics I'll look away from the computer thanks! (not that the Lineage graphics look too realistic... those boobs look mighty cartoony to me. hehe)

They may be waiting until the 4th server goes up. The servers are jammed packed as it is. Even 3 more servers would probably fill up.

Two more servers just went up 5 minutes ago. That won't help with Seitgart (#2) server crowding but should help get more people on and more beta key releases.

Thinking about making a Veeshan clan on Sieg, first level clan is limited to 10 people, but will make it easier for us to chat, since the chat interface totally sucks right now. Anyone interested?

I'm not going anywhere. 13.5 and there's no way I'm going through those lower levels again! I want to check out the post 20 game to see how it is.

Dwarves make a killing in $$. I'm using Spoil/Sweep to get extra items on top of the Adena dropping. There's two easy quests that can be repeated that bring in 2400a each as well.

I found this thread on the Official Lineage 2 Forums:

It's a pretty funny discussion about the looks of the female classes in the game.

There's an equipment slot for underwear and it gives stats:

http://lin.warcry.com/index.php/content ... sh=&grade=

It goes live with the game April 28th. Im curious if it will work like the ranged item in EQ where you can make it visible by re-equipping that slot.

Right now I can either afford a dwarven hammer or a mithril underwear set!
