Unnecessary Censorship in SWTOR

Post by Bubba Grizz »

In today's TOR TV, we Bring you the brilliant idea of Jimmy Kimmel's segment "Unnecessary censorship" to the world of video games.

For people who don't know what Unnecessary Censorship is, it refers to the practice of adding censor bleeps, mosaic blurs or black bars to source materials that were neither profane or explicit to begin with. The bleeps are typically dubbed over words to make it sound as if they were explicit. Mosaic blurs and black bars are placed over people, objects, or text to make it appear as if they are covering up pornographic or explicit material.

Some times that makes not funny things hilarious. Judge for yourself:

Lol. Honestly, the funniest part for me was after the main video, it was showing a clip from the Skyrim one.

"Would you like a ****?"

"Oh, very much so!"

That's pretty funny.
The bleep game pre-dates Jimmy Kimmel's show by quite a bit though. O & A used to do it way back when and they probably got it from somewhere as well
