Yes, because rich, white people, the folks who own the dictionary companies, would never be biased when defining words.

The hard part of identifying exact genes that control human brain function, and developing ways to increase it, is that we can't ethically do experiments on humans, and what works for our relatives doesn't always work for us. It is a good start though.
This will more likely be used to breed workers just smart enough to pick fruit or stock the shelves at Walmart, but not smart enough to understand abstract concepts like "I am being shat upon by plutocrats."

Pretty much this.

A Brave New World irl....
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .

Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

Why do you need science for that when it's already being done via breeding in the south

Well, the cool thing about gene therapy, is it would be able to change the genes of people who are already alive. It doesn't have to be used to design a new person. I expect that there will be multiple gene therapy treatments available over the next 10-20 years. There are already gene therapy treatments for a number of genetic disorders that have had a lot of success in the past few years.

Because science can make it happen faster? Plus instead of the offensive shades of brown so much of "the help" is now, they could get them in dozens of designer colors that will match any decor!

I am sold. How do I sign up for a couple of purple housekeepers that will work under the table for less than minimum wage?

Watching the post-election angst from the republicans it's pretty obvious they still don't understand why they lost. In large measure it had nothing to do with the democrats, religion or entitlements and a lot to do with their being a bunch of self entitled, arrogant douche-bags.

Newt's response to the "occupy" folks, prior to the patchouli soaked latter day hippy invasion is a good example of their cluelessness. "They're jealous of our success" no, they're pissed off that they're being cheated.

Told a co-worker "they're far from being done losing" long before the election, seeing what they're taking away as their lessons learned I don't expect it to change by 2016 either.

If Barak can keep the herd of cats that is the modern Democratic party together long enough to hammer through an actual tax hike on the very rich, there might not even be the usual "anti-President's party" swing in 2014. They need to get straight to work in January with the reform of the Senate filibuster rules or the GOP will continue to delay everything for more quality time on the lobbyist's dime.
