Catholic != "Christian" in the minds if a large segment of the Jesus crispy crowd, not that they have a clue of the historical reasons behind the attitude. It's just a mishmash of "ebil Catholics!", "ebil liberals!", etc.. But then Mormons are far worse in their minds too so...

The crowd that might put Santorum on the Nov ballot excludes the segment needed to get him in the White House.
You are forgetting that these superstitious racist dipshits will make temporary alliances to suit their needs. They will side with the Catholics to defeat a Mormon. They will side with the Mormons to defeat teh gays. And they will side with ANYONE to defeat the Muslim Darkie.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .

Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.

You probably don't disagree with as many views from Romney as you think if he was allowed to acutally say them. Problem is reasonable fiscal conservatives don't seem to have a place in the Rep party to get enough support on a national level.

I get the feeling they hold the muslims in higher regard than the gays.

Our system currently gives a series of this or that choices, the primaries might be the closest thing we have to an open political race. To bad all the horses are varying shades of crap.

An X or Obama choice? I think the zealots are going to vote for anyone who runs on the republican ticket regardless. The "everyone else" needed to win the White House is another matter entirely.

The fiscal policies Romney would push are anti-everyone but his NASCAR team owner buddies and wealthier. He's already sold his political soul to get to the point he's at, you won't see any surprises out of him. Even his "liberal" health care in MA was an aim to line his supporters pockets, if it hadn't been he wouldn't have gotten the go-ahead to be where he's at right now.

Oh, I know. I've saw a lot of videos of Romney from before he was running for President. He actually made sense in some of them, and I did agree with him quite often. The problem is, he is not running on those views, and if he did manage to get elected he wouldn't be able to go back to them if he wants a second term.

He'd have an absolutely ineffective first term as well, the party faithful would dig in their heels as they've done with Obama. Fox et al would paint him as a NE liberal who lied to get in office with hints that his religion had something to do with it.

That's because those people are serious.

It's a catchy tune, though. I kind of like it.

Haha, they are censoring the comments in the video, and have disabled comments and ratings all together now that it's at 81% disliked. Pretty telling.

I love how righties are so indoctrinated that 16 year old girls are singing about how great it was when Reagan was president.

Just today the DOW is the highest it's been since 2007, the Nasdaq is the highest it's been since 2000, and the unemployment rate has dropped in 45 of the 50 states.

MEANWHILE.....

Santorum wins the south! Romney can't even put away put away Rick fucking Santorum. Newt and Ron Paul are vowing to stay in the race even though those fuckers have been done for awhile. This primary is legendary! Not only will Obama win reelection, but I think he'll accomplish it by an even wider margin that his first term.

Nice choices Winnow, Romney or Santorum! Those are the best people the Republican party has to offer, lol.

you forgot that he killed bin Laden and got the military out of that money sucking sandpit in Iraq.

like everything else in life, winnow fails at trolling. the only thing sadder is watching him rate the female cast of video games in order of the one's he'd do (all of them are tied for first). I wish he'd fucking hang himself already but I guess he doesn't even have the yarbles for that.

Doesn't matter, Obama's a Muslim. Also, a secularist. He's the anti-Christ. A socialist, communist, fascist, Nazi, and he was born in Kenya, or Indonesia, or in Hawaii before it was a state. He's done nothing while simultaneously overstepping his authority.

Santorum taking two states is amazing, can't the people voting for him understand the things he's running on that appeal to them are also unconstitutional?

I don't think Hopey McChangeypants has many worries come Nov as things are headed now.

They aren't done losing yet, the tea party influx reinforced the idea that they're a bunch of inflexible far right loonies with all the negotiating skills of spoiled 12 year olds.

Mass Gov. Romney and Pres. candidate Romney aren't the same guy.

Then there's Rubio with no experience and the standard latter-day Reagan "Deregulate!", "Lower taxes!" dogma. Never mind that approach has already failed, he's just a re-spun version of Newt.

Let's just call him Cuban Newt.

Could be worse, watching Grover Norquist on the Daily Show made me alterately howl with laughter at his disembling about Reagan and cringe with terror at the idiocy some people will sign up to.

He represents the people making the puppets dance to a large degree, buying into his myopic lunacy is a requirement for consideration.

Pre-Grover-Romney might have been a decent president, not great but a slightly differently leaning version of Obama. Given everything else happening with the republicans I still don't think I'd vote for him but...

Romney-today, after signing on with Grovers' "I hate America" pact he's just another in the parade of representatives of "that small minority of parasites who almost destroyed the world financial system".
