Sadly, every "clone" charging cable is just as bad or worse than the factory ones.

I'd pay an extra $50 for a cable that had mini-USB as opposed the that garbage they package their products with.

How many $50 mini-USB cables you in the market for? 8)

Some of the 3rd party docks are pretty sweet and have a much better feel when the device is parked. There's a lot to be said for a definite tactile click.

Success paved with premium-priced, broken accessories and Mexico-quality cables.

At least their share price tracks with revenue (if not profit)

Can you imagine what this graph would look like for facebook?

Here's a great video of Steve Jobs introducing/demoing the Macintosh back in 1984...30 years ago...ug.

http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/26/stev ... _truncated

Watching it, with the understanding that it's in 1984, you can easily see Steve Jobs was a master sales/marketing CEO. It's 90 minutes long so watch the first few minutes and then skip around. Woz is in there as well as the entire Mac development team.

I still have my Mac Plus I got in 1987. Didn't like it much! I became a PC person pretty fast and was a Commodore/Amiga fan before that. Steve Jobs deserves the accolades he gets when you look at him as a CEO, not as a perfect human, as he was an ass a lot of the time.

Oh, ok, whew. He's still dead. I thought he was resurrected and died again. I mean shit it's Steve Jobs so that's totally a possibility.
