Egypt
Re: Egypt
Egypt has a lot to offer to the world, but fine vegetarian cuisine is not one of them. Having said that, let me also say that we did not hurt for vegetarian food unlike in certain parts of the world where it is hard to get anything without fish sauce or chicken broth.

Re: Egypt
Unfortunately for the would-be revolutionaries, I suspect that the only way Mubarak is going anywhere is the same way as his predecessor, and that would severely undermine what they're trying to accomplish.

When I want just the facts about what is going on in Egypt, and more importantly, how Obama is handling the situation, I turn to Fox News for no spin and nothing but TRUTH.

Well, nevermind. It was just announced by the Egyptian vice president that Mubarak has stepped down, and is temporarily transferring power to the military. I wonder how this will play out.Xatrei wrote:Unfortunately for the would-be revolutionaries, I suspect that the only way Mubarak is going anywhere is the same way as his predecessor, and that would severely undermine what they're trying to accomplish.

Having not read/watched any updates on this since yesterday:Xatrei wrote:Well, nevermind. Is this just the VP saying it? Just wondering since it was expected that the announcement would have been announced in Mubarak's speech yesterday when he didn't.
Oh, nevermind...as I was typing this, CBSnews just came on with a "breaking news" item announcing that he did as well.
Here's to a swift, organized, and peaceful change of government.

Libya has nice beaches. The U.S. had bases there up until the 60's. It'd be nice to get those back so we can vacation there again.
