Palin in 2012!

Post by Sylvus »

This is great on so many levels. I'm having trouble determining if the people are stupid because they support Palin or because they're from Columbus, OH... it's hard to say!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKKKgua7 ... r_embedded

Too bad there aren't any conservatives left here to tell us if they think the people in the above video sound pretty reasonable or not.

Why the fuck wont she just go away? Seriously. I don't even see how she's a viable candidate. Mccain lost (votes if not the election itself) because of her. Not the other way around.

I gotta give it to the man doing the interviews. I laughed several times at their answers and I don't know how he kept from laughing.

Neither Palin nor any of these fundylicious whackjobs are conservatives. They are Bible-beating liberals who've stolen my party from me.

Yarp. Conservatism took a dive in 2000 that it hasn't recovered from.

Hey, cheap notes are ok, easy reminder.....what is NOT ok is bashing Obama for using teleprompter (like all presidents do, or in case of Bush, should have done to aviod messing up), and then showing she dont mind doing the same, but are too stupid to use a teleprompter and have to use hand notes :)

I only wish they had interviewed me for that clip "I thought $20 was a fair price to see if I could get a glimpse down her shirt while she was bending over to sign."

There are quite a few people who just need to disappear forever. Palin, Hitlery, Newt, John Kerry, Pelosi.....just put them in a van and drive it over the largest cliff you can find. We will all be better in the end.

Speaking of which....God is killing off lefties at a pretty good clip.

Do you know how I know you're a fucking retard? You think Murtha was a leftie. If you could be bothered to actually look at his positions on abortion, gun control, energy, etc., you'd know that this guy, except for his stance on the war, was pretty much a moderate. Like most in congress, his biggest interest was bringing home bacon for his district so they'd keep sending his useless ass back to D.C. Given your self-identification as a right-leaning moderate, you shouldn't have had that many differences with this guy. Of course expecting you to actually consider inconvenient things like facts when they get in the way of the narrative you blindly accept is asking way too much.

If it wasn't for the fact that he's from a center-right district, I'd be glad that he's out of the way for a real "leftie," but instead that seat will go to another moderate or worse.

I use lefty as a general term for any Democrat. I use Marxist and Socialist for those actually on the far left of the spectrum. Either way, that guy was one of the most corrupt pieces of shit to ever sit in Congress. Our country is better off with him gone and out of politics. All of those types are what precisely is wrong with our system and the more of them to drop (from both parties), the better off we will be in the long run.

We can agree on this much. I won't say he was "one of the most corrupt" because they're nearly all a bunch of self-serving, corrupt trash, irrespective of which side of the aisle they park their asses. Our system is designed to promote exactly their sort of corrupt uselessness.

White House Hits Palin with Open Hand Slap

The White House Press Secretary just openly mocked Sarah Palin -- and he delivered the blow with the palm of his hand.

Robert Gibbs just addressed the media with a mini grocery list written on his hand -- plus two smart-ass additions: Eggs, Milk, Bread (which was crossed out), Hope, Change.

It's getting nasty in Washington, D.C. -- and we're not talking about the snow storm.

Image

Looming over I-35 near Wyoming, Minn a billboard was put with a picture of George W. Bush asking Miss Me Yet?. People are still trying to find out who is behind the billboard, but imagine if it was Bush himself... I mean he has nothing better to do. Priceless.

This would be funny if the mighty righties weren't all so stupid, making her a likely canidate. Mark my words, she is going to land the GOP nomination because of the T-Baggers she will bring in with her. These people actually worship stupidity and consider "intellectual" an insult. I can't see her winning over Obama, though, unless he bangs a white woman and Michelle hits him in the head with a putter and makes him crash his SUV.....

My thought has always been that I hope she is the republican nominee. Obama and his team were overly nice to her during his campaign. I don't see that happening again. She's got enough shit in her closet that I think it would end up being a pretty good landslide.

I said START, not fucking President. And honestly, she IS more qualified than Palin in the same way anyone with a room tempurature IQ is more qualified than Palin. She is someone who should be getting cultivated for the future of the party, not Bobby Fucking Jindal. They need a younger person with common sense as a personality to represent the GOP to the younger crowd. Stick her in small office race and let her be a voice of reason in the party so people associate them with something other than self entitled rich white pricks.

There are, I am sure, capable pre-menopausal women in the GOP, but they are getting drowned in the sea of T-Bagger retardation. M.McCain has the advantage of being publicly known and publicly willing to have civil discourse with the left, so she has a chance of reigning in the crazy in the GOP. These unknown true conservatives that are languishing in the darkest corners of the GOP right now don't have enough pull to reign in the bullshit that has taken their party over, so in this case, being well known IS a qualification. Plus all the slobbering rednecks who fawned over Bible Spice Palin as jack off material would flock to her, too.

I might be talking out of my ass, but the fucking GOP is killing us right now. They need to get the Crazy under control by any means if the country is going to move forward, at all. We can't seriously evaluate the plutocratic bullshit that is going on while we have a bunch of crazed redneck racist idiots glomming all the attention away from it. The best way through that is if someone with some charisma and name recognition can force them down a more reasonable path. The Dems have had this issue, as well, but they have had their JFKs, Clintons, and Obamas shaking the establishment. At this point, with the latest supreme court rulling effectively handing over elections to megacorps, public recognition is the only way in the door.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. By the same token, the GOP had their Reagan. The right is not alone in needing to reign in the crazy. Pelosi and Reid are just as bad as the rabid right and neither is good the for the country. Just because one side goes nuts does not mean you have a complete polar shift to fix their damage when the other side comes to power. That is why the GOP is going to be taking more seats in the midterms....the Dems went nuts and stopped listening to the middle to push their own agenda instead of what their actual citizens wanted. They are supposed to be representatives and not idealists.

You mean that part where the Dems let W fuck the consitution for 8 years with barely an ounce of dissent? And then when they got their asses roundly voted out they turned into the party of No! who voted against the stimulus while simultaneously grabbing all of it they could? Yeah I wouldn't drink too much of the Fox Cool Aid on this one.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .

Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

I think you should rewrite that, unless "they" is supposed to mean the Dems...

I think you'll definitely see a swing against the Dems next election unless the GOP run a Palin/Bush (Jeb) ticket. But the likelihood is more that it will be an attempt to ensure the Government isn't actually capable of doing anything, by stacking the Senate with usual GOP retards that would vote against a war spending bill if the Dems proposed it, than a "backlash" against the swarthy Hawaiian.

The GOP and their media arm (FOX) seem to be able to pull off Orwellian rewrites of fact with monotonous regularity to about half the lower to middle classes, but it won't be enough to change the normal run of politics in 2 party systems:

- People don't like to vote out a government after one term.
- People like "checks and balances" in the form of splitting control of the house and senate.
May 2003 - "Mission Accomplished"
June 2005 - "The mission isn't easy, and it will not be accomplished overnight"

Jice: 100% agree that the crazy needs to be reined in somehow. Also agree that the crazy is much more problematic on the right than the left at this point in time. I just think that if the only solution is starting to advance the career of Megan McCain-- a random 20something woman whose sole virtues are a famous father and a not-totally-unreasonable disposition-- then we're already fucked.

Kilmoll: Pelosi and Reid are in an entirely different class than Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn, Michelle Bachmann, etc. Reid is a moderate/centrist Dem (who sometimes pushes a more liberal agenda because, you know, he's majority leader and has to represent his party) while Pelosi is a liberal Dem who still operates in a fact-based world of reality and argument. I guess you might be able to argue that she's comparable to a guy like Coburn-- she's close-- but she operates in a substantially more pragmatic and less ideological way than he does.

Nobody denies that there is crazy on the left. The difference is that guys like Dennis Kucinich and Michael Moore are fringe figures in the Democratic apparatus, while Beck and Limbaugh and DeMint and Bachmann and Palin are absolutely crucial figures on the right. The degree of influence that the crazy exerts in each party is not the same, at this point in time.

And arguing that the current Democratic establishment is pushing a radically far left / socialist agenda doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. They're seeking to address problems that are traditionally of concern to liberals, sure, like healthcare. But they're pursuing what are generally centrist, largely market-based solutions to address those problems.

Is the government bailing out certain businesses in a free market centrist or is it government interceding in too much? Big government is bad...and this administration has taken it to historic levels.

Are you talking about the Bush bailout or the Obama bailout?
