You answered 31 out of 33 correctly — 93.94 %

27 and 33 got me. I thought 33 was deceiving in the wording.

29/33 - # 27 is poorly phrased.

I got 31, missing numbers 4 and 27. I agree that 27 is poorly phrased, I wasn't really sure what I was answering.

Well I'm embarrased to say that I didn't do well on this. 61% and I have a degree in History. However that degree is mainly Ancient to Medieval and not American History. Still I should have known better. I don't suppose I can play the "I'm old and have been out of school for a long long time" card, can I?

32/33. Missed #33, it tricksied me! Most of it was pretty straightforward, although I'd say that #27 wasn't exactly a "civics" test but more a statement of economic policy opinion. This was also true for #30, and 31. Also, the FDR supreme court answer was somewhat deceiving, as it didn't say that FDR wanted to EXPAND the court - as read it could be simply that he wished to (like all Presidents) appoint replacements that held his views.

Yeah the test was created by a conservative think tank, which is evident in a few of the questions. Nonetheless, the questions range from pretty easy to pretty hard and they are not so slanted to render the test obsolete, so I consider it a good gauge of American civics knowledge.

I only got 25 right, but I am pretty high right now, so it may have either helped or hindered me.

I got 30 out of 33.

Question 27 was one of those shitty questions were there are two correct answers, but one is more correct than the other. I hated profs that ran their exams that way.

Canadian. Scored ~57% overall. Not horrible. I'd probably do worse in a Canadian history equivalent of this.

31/33 ----93.94 %

I missed 29 and 33. Looking back, both are obviously not what I answered. Only one I sort of guessed on was 15, but Thomas Jefferson made sense because he didn't care for religion all that much. An interesting quiz, with lots of economics questions.
Isn't this the quiz that was given to a lot of our elected officials, and most of them failed it?

Yea, 44% was the average score for elected people, really sad considering it's a multiple choice quiz.

15 is another sneaky-conservative-bias question. The phrase 'wall of separation' is well-known, and conservatives like to emphasize that the phrase originates only in the private papers of Thomas Jefferson, as opposed to the Constitution or the Declaration or the Federalist Papers or something, because the think it makes the phrase seem less authoritative.

26/33. I felt like I was flailing blindly with the economics questions, but in fact my errors were fairly well spread out. I don't know much about Roosevelt's New Deal other than he was the guy with the New Deal!

You answered 33 out of 33 correctly — 100.00 %

Average score for this quiz during November: 77.8%
Average score: 77.8%

I have studied quite abit of History, basically have read books on every subject mentioned in this test.

Question 33 gave me a hard time..cause I personally think the Gov't does not help ALMOST ALMOST anybody except with commerce and national security. But I take out my bias and its not hard actually.

Question 27 I guessed on using my biaseness on local vs. federal issues..Because 3 of the 5 can be right or atleast argued about...Question 27 should be trashed.

Sueven question 15 I disagree with you on.

31/33 I felt some of the questions could be answered differently based upon your fiscal policy beliefs though.

27/83 or 82%

Another Canadian and I agree: most Canadians would do pretty bad on our equivalent of this because we don't study much of our own history any more. Most of my errors were 2nd choices (i.e. I knew it was one of the other but wasn't sure so I picked the wrong one :p).

Are you guys serious about the median scores and the results from elected officials? Honestly this doesn't seem that tough of a quiz or shouldn't be for someone involved in politics/public service (other than bias issues, etc).
