LipStick On A Pig!!!

Post by Sirton »

While it may sound funny......It ain't classy....I don't think it is a smart move and will win votes! Look at these comments pissing off women more. pig, lipstick, fish, stink, Palin, Women. Atleast he gave McCain some new adds.
Sarah Palin in her big speech and every day hence......"They say the difference between a pitbull and a hockey mom is.....lipstick."

Barack Obama today talking about how McCain is reinventing his campaign.......

"Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.

"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."

"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."

"We've had enough of the same old thing.""

Wow, Obama is losing his grip. I can't believe he said that. He's seriously rattled by what's happened since Palin's nomination which is causing him to turn dirty instead of focus on the positives which would serve him much better in winning this election.

Reversing Obamas snarky one-liners is too easy... McCain/Palin have had great success with it lately. I don't know how they'll handle this one, but I have a suggestion:

How transparent is this bullshit? This transparent:
McCain criticized Democratic contenders for offering what he called costly universal health care proposals that require too much government regulation. While he said he had not studied Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's health-care plan, he said it was "eerily reminiscent" of the failed plan she offered as first lady in the early 1990s.

"I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig," he said of her proposal.

McCain and Hillary are buds. My bet is that Hillary has already talked to McCain and is working to get him elected with the agreement that he'll only stay in office for one term and then Hillary will try again in 2012. You know damn well she doesn't want Obama in the White House on the off chance that he's popular which would screw her up in 4 years.

Sueven, you just made my day.

It is funny to watch these Republicans get so uptight over any slight condescending remark towards Palin, even when its not directed at Palin. I don't see the connection between Palin's hockey mom speech and Obama's policy insult on McCain. In my opinion, he is clearly calling McCain out on what he said when talking about Hillary's policy in 07, since the insult is verbatim and all.

That was taken out of context. It was said in the bedroom during sexual activities.

On the flip side, it's fun to watch democrats get all excited about Republicans offering up a mini whine for fun to give liberals a taste of what conservatives have to hear all year long during election years.

Those poor republicans, Obama is so mean to them. I thought dems were supposed to be the pussies. McCain's campaign is acting like a bunch of little girls. Even if Obama was flat out calling Palin a pig, that isn't sexist. It would just be an insult.

McCain is quickly becoming Kevin Fedorline to Palin's Britney Spears.

I agree it's a total non-issue, but seriously... Obama is making every possible blunder that could be used against him.

The word 'lipstick' was just used by Palin and seen by ~40 million people, now he uses it in a derogatory fashion within the week... I agree it's a re-hash of a cliched line already used by McCain on Hillary, and he meant nothing sexist or otherwise by it, but it was a really poor choice of words considering how the media operates.

Lipstick on a pig is an extremely old cliche. While it's quite possible that Obama said it in a catty reference to McCain saying it about Hillary, it's also quite possible he's said it because it's definitely older than I am.

I'm not really decided one way or the other, but I wanted to point that out in case some of the mouth-breathers in this thread didn't understand how common a saying it is.

It boggles my mind that 'lipstick on a pig' is breaking news but moronic comments like the following go virtually unnoticed.
“They’ve (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac) gotten too big and too expensive to taxpayers. The McCain-Palin administration will make them smaller and smarter and more effective for homeowners who need help.”

here's a linque!!

wwdub...sirtonspamz.ballsack

You're still an idiot. The kindergarten reference was so children know the difference between a good touch and a bad touch. You've clearly never seen the effects that sexual molestation can have on children, and the ways it manifests itself in their daily lives. Predators at home or at school can totally destroy any chance a child has at a normal life, and the earlier that molestation is detected, the sooner we can get the child support services. If this education teaches a six-year old (who can't comprehend sexual urges yet, except in an unconscious way) that someone is touching them inappropriately, then hell yes we teach them the difference. Abstinence education is a fucking failure, period. It doesn't work in eighth grade, it doesn't work in high school, and we need a much more comprehensive sexual education plan than telling our kids "You know those urges you're getting? Ignore them. We're not going to talk about them, because they're bad. Don't act on them. And while you're not acting on them, here's absolutely no fucking information about those urges or the repercussions they can have. Good luck with collecting welfare checks for all those kiddies!"

Fuck you sirton. You're an imbecile who is stuck in a god damned fundamentalist viewpoint. A viewpoint that stands against teaching children what they need to know. Jesus Christ, I need a drink after just thinking about that. How an individual can rally against teaching kids proper sexual education is beyond me. In a world with abounding predators, cases of herpes, and outbreaks of AIDS, it's just asinine to take a stand for ignorance.

Kal...Im actually for it sex ed you bitch......Dont try and put me in the abstinence crowd.....

Im for sex ed, but more around 3rd-5th grade though.... just not in grade K.. and I don't think that most Americans are for this either. That is way to young. Little Tim is going to think his mom is molesting him after he pissed his pants and she cleans him off. Then you'll have CPS and lawyers taking kids for the state at a whimm from parents.... And I don't care for little tim to be learning about Chuck and Larry which is included in those programs when hes only 5-6yrs old. My sister even in Texas was forced to read a book to third graders about the 2 gay prince and how its all good!!!!...Hell I don't care for them to have to be read a book about the prince and the princes at that age. A good family and parents should not be subject to this trash. For Most people this education is not needed before there child can even read!!!..........and I dont want my child being dummied down by the state for the state to serve only the liberal state.

You got to understand I love The United States of America and the Military, but I absolutely can't stand the Federal Governmen't....Im more of a States guy..Federal Gov't can suck it, and I don't care for all these national programs that can't be paid for on a national scale.

Fuck you too asshole. Im glad I got your goat :)

I don't know why I'm bothering, but just to state this clearly for this board's retards once more, the "sex ed" for kindergartners is limited to making sure that the children know when someone is crossing the line of what's appropriate. There's no intention to teach anything explicit or involving reproduction or anatomy. It is basically just explaining that if your swim suit covers it, it's off limits, and making sure that the child knows that it's OK for them to tell their parent or teacher if someone does cross the line with them. Yeah, it's all stuff that the parent(s) should be explaining to the kids, but it just doesn't happen. I am truly at a loss trying to understand the mentality of someone that would oppose this, let alone vilify someone for supporting it.

Then again, I'd like to see all governing authority removed from the states and given to a strong Social Democrat federal government, leaving the states as little more than administrative zones.

I call bullshit....there will be in the next step.....and I don't trust the government.
Yeah, it's all stuff that the parent(s) should be explaining to the kids, but it just doesn't happen.
I agree. I think grade K is just alittle too soon. My argument is when not if. And I shouldn't be called a moron, because I disagree by 2 years, and thrown into the Abstinance crowd.

And Im not vilifying Obama on this point....Im trying to spice this Liberal Board up some...I just posted it up to get peoples goat, because I know it won't be popular on this board. Just I know teaching children that young won't be popular across most America. Hey, Start it up in the Cities let us know how it works. Don't force this on children nationwide it won't be popular. At that age your going to have children doing the bad touch to each other just because its the bad touch! Most of them won't know...They are too young to know.

I personally would rather spend that money on killing child porn smugglers like that fat ass Liberal talk show host in San Fransico Bernie Ward.

I think teaching young kids about sex in age-appropriate, scientific way is better than them thinking that their mothers shat them out or that they were delivered by a stork.

You have to be a fucking moron to think that they'd be showing slides of STDs or explicit information about intercourse itself.

Also, the reasoning behind the legislation was also so that kids understood and could defend against sexual manipulation and abuse at a young age. Most cases of child sex abuse are not because of physical force, but rather that the children are clueless as to what's going on and don't understand how serious and bad it is.

I agree whats your point?????

I don't think its a popular positon to take though in a Presidental election on anything below 3rd grade...I think pushing for grade K is too far for the national public to swallow. I think child sexual predators and molestors are worse than murderers and should have a swift execution sentence.
Then again, I'd like to see all governing authority removed from the states and given to a strong Social Democrat federal government, leaving the states as little more than administrative zones.
X.

Then I may actually agree with you more than not... But on the major arguement about the national gov't in these issues makes me disagree with you on many issue's because Im not for the national gov't making these programs...Fuck the federal Government. Theyll waist our money theyll screw things up and bankrupt whatever they get there hands on....Im big on local gov't and State government that know the local people better around them and has more pressure to do things for there local community and easier to kick the sorry idiots out if they don't serve the people proper. Small town people are happy or content on the whole and don't want Washington telling them what to do.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_ ... e_solution62% of America agree the federal gov't needs to get off our back.

Sorry, but you're still a douche. If measures like this protect one kid from three years, three months, or three more days of sexual abuse and molestation, then let's get the ball rolling.
And who the fuck cares if it's popular? We do a lot of things that aren't popular. NCLB, if we want to stick to the education vein. At least this could fall under the justified umbrella, as opposed to unfunded mandates which place burdens of school system to produce artificially inflated test scores while ditching other paths of curricula that have just as much place in the classroom. Hey, I got another unpopular subject taught in schools! Abstinence, you brain-fizzled toolbox.
What is popular is not always right. In this case, I would applaud Obama for sticking to his guns, knowing that something like that wouldn't be popular, but it's still in the best interests of the students.

As for the reading of the gay books, I'm not even going to get into that here. However, many of those decisions occur on a city-wide level. School boards (and the voters that put them into office) affect the policy changes and curriculum modifications that occur in the classroom. Yes, states can also make those changes, but many cities are also responsible for influences in the classroom. You can see their results in the 'intelligent design' cases that struck states like Kansas and yes, my poor state of Illinois. Oh well, we haven't bred ignorance out yet, something to shoot for.

Sirton, I would recommend moving to a town where they only support Adam and Eve in science classrooms, or something else that befits your mental acuity. While you're at it, find somewhere that prefers Adam touching little Timmy at bedtime, then explain to him that he isn't ready to learn about that yet, so just wait another year or two.

So why not just start teaching them as they pop out? I think teaching them in grade K will be more harmful than good. I do not think the general child mentality can understand these concepts and can misconstrue and have many false claims and actually cause situations among peers at that early of an age and be more harmful than good. You may actually cause more sexual molestation problems among peers or curiosity of that child among others. A child that young maybe taught thats bad, but maynot understand what bad even really is yet.

Hey idiot. I know about science and the human mind and body as I have over 160 hours of coarses on science education with a doctorate. Including 15 hrs in child psycology & abnormal psycology, so Im not some idiot spouting adam and eve science you moron.

Somthing u gotta understand idiot is we want the same goals accomplished...we just defer on some parts of the bill. Also Im for states doing this not the national gov't.

Sirton, you are not an idiot because of your position on sex ed, you are a fucking moronic idiot because you have no fucking idea what the bill that was NOT proposed by Obama, and was NOT passed as law even fucking said. YOU ARE FUCKING LYING ABOUT SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. Distracting the American imbeciles is the objective of the McCain campaign, and you are proof that they are succeeding.

Hey I know what was done and not done....I just want Obama to get his ass kicked, and I enjoy pissing off some of the Lib's on this board. If it wasn't for different opinions or flaring up each other this board would be boring as hell.
