Dexter Season 8

Post by Aslanna »

The final season! Starts June 30th. So how will it end? Dexter being caught? Not being caught? They all live happily ever after?

Ironic loop, Dexter is snatched and dispatched by another vigilante.

I'll place my bet on that he asks Deb to kill him.

What I don't want to see is a "flash forward" to his son at a bit older age killing a dog or cat. (the cycle continues)

I don't really see that. Not sure it really fits with his character all that much.

I agree there though!

Speaking of not fitting with his character... I was pretty underwhelmed by the series finale.

It was miserable. This whole season was turrible. Season 4 was the best, with 1 and 2 right up there. This and season 3 were the two worst. So disappointing.

I just finished this last night. The ending bothered me, more than it should honestly.
[Show]
I wasn't happy with it as Dexter rode off into the hurricane, but when it showed him still alive I was really pissed. It's just not really an ending... I mean he set it up in a way that you would think there isn't really a way he'd be able to find Harrison & Hannah, but it's Dexter we're talking about here. If he wants to find them, he will. Which means it wasn't really an ending at all.

Yeah it was pretty much a non-ending. A cop out, even. I don't know anyone who thought it was a good ending except maybe the writers.
