Ridley Scott back in the sci-fi movies.
[Show]
Looks to be a prequel of sorts to Alien, since that's definitely the ship the Nostromo crew visits to find the first facehugger.
I am excited. :D

+1 to that.

This is on my "excited but extremely worried about"-list. Scott hasn't exactly been on a winning streak.

I watched this last week at home in 3D.

I'm torn. On one hand, the movie has fucking amazing 3D, sound, and CGI. I'm talking reference quality shit here. Never seen 3D at home? The first 10 minutes if this movie will make you a believer. It's just outstanding. This and Avatar are the best achievements in 3D technology and storytelling (although Hugo is also great). However, the movie itself was kind of a letdown. It muddied the waters of an alteady well established mythos without adding anything new. At the end, I kind of didn't really see the point? I understand they are going to make a sequel to this, which is great because I feel like I just watched half a movie. When the movie was finished, my wife wanted me to explain exactly what happened and how it all relates to Alien/Aliens, and I just couldn't. I had to do some real mental gymnastics just to figure out the series if events that took place in this single film.

I didn't hate the movie at all. I was entertained the entire time. So, I guess that's something. Just give me the sequel please. And for the love of god, fill in all these fucking plot holes you left open.

Oh yeah, the trailer showed the entire goddamn movie. It was a great trailer, but really? Leave a little to the imagination!

The plot holes were due to a script change. Producers often have a knack for tossing the original good idea for a more convoluted one, just to justify their "creative process".

Here is the link to what Prometheus should have been:

And yes, 3D at home was amazing for this.
