Camelot

Post by Xatrei »

I haven't seen this show mentioned, so I'm wondering if anyone else has been watching this new series on Starz? It's meant to be a new twist on the Arthurian legend, and so far it's been pretty entertaining.

My wife and I are watching it. We both like it, me being pretty familiar with Arthurian legend and all of it being pretty new to her. I was finding it interesting how they were making it look pretty realistic with Merlin's machinations being the explanation for most of the fantastic elements of the legends I was familiar with, but I guess this last episode they've turned it more toward fantasy. That's fine by me though.

Completely forgot to add this to my DVR until this thread. I will probably try to catch up with some on-demand viewing soon. Thanks!

I think that, instead of a new episode, they are replaying all of the episodes so far this Friday night. The next new one premieres on 4/29.

I think.

Gotta love netfilx for their relationship with Starz. I'll catch up on this over the weekend.

Hmm, I tried to stream an episode last night, and I couldn't find Camelot available on Netflix. Were they pulled off/delayed because of the Starz deal holding new releases for 90 days, or was I looking in the wrong places? I only saw the option to add it to my DVD queue when it releases. Some people were talking about it being available on the Live Starz Channel, but I could just watch my TV if I had to wait until the show was on.

Yep, they were pulled...not sure they were ever up though. But yes, Starz must increase their subscriber base somehow, I don't blame them. I downloaded them from eztv. I am hoping it takes off as a show soon, because its not that great so far. Spartacus I and II were better shows than Camelot SO FAR, but Spartacus I also started slowly. I'm hoping for the same with this one. The characters just aren't that engaging to me.

I finally had a chance to watch last week's episode. I like the new turn.

Apparently, this show was not picked up for season 2. Damn shame, I liked it.

Same here, I liked where it was heading but I guess with big stars like that it was too expensive to produce
