Lord Of The Rings - The Balrog!

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

How do you think this scene affected the movie?

That was easily the best scene in the movie.

I love that scene, but it's not the best.

The scene is so-so. Doesn't add much to the movie experience.

I didn't like it. I thought it hurt the film more than it helped it.

Definitely the worst scene in the movie. I hate CGI!

Lord Of The Rings - The Balrog!

Post by Searyx »

Were you as blown away by this scene as I was? I was lucky, as I had not finished reading the books when I watched this scene, so I didn't know whether Gandalf would come back or not.

The opening scene where Sauron was wiping out everyone in his path was the best scene in my opinion. It was like CT of old trying to zerg rush Ubermob_00. hehe

How about a few money shots from "Mortal Cumbat" d00d?

I don't understand why people don't like CGI. Could someone explain that to me?

that scene is very cool. thx for posting.

Bubba, i have no bias for or against CGI. all i am concerned about as a moviegoer is things being believable or not. if i am not really thinking about what sort of technique was used to do the animation, then it is a good thing =)

It's strange but I have found myself watching the credits more. Not for any particular person but so I can figure out the font type. There are a lot of cool fonts out there. Scorpion King, Reign of Fire, and xXx come to mind right off. I guess that is what happens when you are into designing.

Some of the best credits I've seen design wise are of the film Seven. I've forgotten who did them though.

The Balrog had to be pretty damn impressive (and he was).
