Once you purchase a temple, you can grab a guy and drop them in the middle of your castle... they will be 'converted' and then after you get archery range, mana pool, or workbench, you can assign each converted guy to a job. (Archer, Wizard, Repairman)
You have to have enough money to upkeep them though BEFORE the round starts. So don't blow all your money once you start training soldiers.

at level 14 or something these huge guys start coming out i couldn't pick their butts up and toss them.. i could only blow them up with the demolition dudes.. needles to say the level lasted to long and i ran out of bombs to kill them off..

I got bored at work and started playing this.
Currently stage 26 - 500 archers, 200 wizards, 100 workmen.
I don't even look at it now, it plays itself, heh. Though if I get reall bored I try and beat the archers to the kill with converting via the wizards.

Around level 4-5 get a Church and start converting asap as many as you can.
Around 12-13 get mana pool and train as many wizards as you can upkeep.
Use the wizzards to completely obliterate the enemy and gain extra converts whenever you can.
Around 15-16 buy an archery range - You should have about 100 wizards at this point and that will be plenty to get as many converts as youll need. Convert as many enemy as you can so long as you have enough mana to do the AE explosion thing to control them - train all converts as archers. By the time you hit 400 archers, about 2% of the enemy will make it to the gates alive - if that.
17+ buy a workshop, train about 25-40 repairers, spend the rest on fortifying your castle. With ~400archers, and 25 repairers, the game will completely play itself.

Once the bombers come out the game is a complete joke. If you don't have the archers at that point you just wait for the crazies to get in the middle of a pack and boom!
I think they should have come up with something better than the suicide bombers, because it just makes killing their own guys so much easier.
