I finally got buckled down to complete Riae's Epic. The last thing I needed was SolB. Now I have heard some horror stories of races to turn in the pearl even though it is very obvious who was there first camping it the longest in consecutive hours.

Well last night I had the spawn time down to pop between 7:30pm-10:30pm PST. I was logged in and camping it at 5:30pm PST all by my lonesome without a sole in sight but myself. About 6:45pm PST in pops.... STUMPALOT! Now this dude may not be 'old school' (or at least he aint even as close to old as me in game) but this dude has old school honor. He didnt even contest my right to turn in. Hes like "You were here before me. Its yours." (note this is paraphrased).

So this is a call out to Stumpalot and all you old school dawgs who still have some fucking honor.

Stumpalot is old school I think. Unless I am mistaken he was either in the old SCGOW or was Stumpyy either way they are both old school and both classy individuals.

Yes, I completed my Epic approximately 60 minutes after the SolB turn in.

Ragefire fell in what I think was about 12 seconds.

PS: Now Im not certain here, but Im pretty sure I hold the record for going the longest without completing cleric epic heheh. Im faily certain I have had the shimmering pearl since 4-6 months after Kunark release. I could just never complete the long ass RF camp in SolB due to life limitations (aka My woman would casterate me if I spent 40+ hours online straight).

Hi Diae. I remember zoning in (on a gimp account) and seeing about 75 clerics all there waiting to jump you. I sent you a tell about hoping you get the turn in. Glad you got it bro/sis.
Others also have the old time honor. There are other clerics in game who said it was not first come first served. They even said it was not a camp so they could do the turn in even though you had been there longer.
What is the flamevault rule on this? First at camp gets to turn in? or whoever is faster on the click? or random the clerics that are there? I have seen all 3.

I think I officially retired for about 5 days :) Then I woke up.

I took over Riae fulltime long long ago. Im pretty sure I have played Riae longer then the original Riae.

The Original Jiae took over Giae long long ago. Giae is now played part time by him. I think he plays about 1 time per week.

Jiae is now played by an Enchanter in Dark Fury. Not eBay'd. Its a friend using him.

Fiae is still totally retired from EQ though still has a standing presense in the EQ Community. You may know him from The Safehouse as a Mod.

Qiae is now played by my best friend, Eviliae.
Kiae is now also played by my best friend, Eviliae.

So the only *iae which still no longer has a presense in EQ is Fiae. He has not eBay'd nor given his account to a friend. He is just plain old retired :)

Thank you Drolgin. I have known Stumps for a while and I must say I have not one single bad thing to say about him. He is a stand up guy and would trust him in almost any situation (short of account info hehe).

Very cool, Stump has always been considered a good friend and member to me, and shows every bit of respect and good will we stand for. No one trying to justify how a druid/monk/lv 53 warrior with lammies and about 25 more people who aren't even on EQ yet (because the said druid/monk/warrior are busy calling them at home and waking them up) is a valid force to take out Ragefire.

Stumpalot is old school. He was the one that originally convinced my brother (Braxter) and I to buy the game. He first played a necro named Dargenous about 3 years ago. He was our RL neighbor.

It's nothing more than a tool for you to bait someone you don't like into getting banned....it's a concept that had good intentions but let's face it...we pretty much take care of discusions and flames as needed.

If someone asks a serious question, most people answer it seriously. If someone baits, flames ensue.

Sitting behind *FF* and not pursuing a discussion (read:baiting) shows total lack of balls.

That said, if someone puts a *FF* tag into a real discussion thread, I don't care as much...but I still think it's a pain...the slightest slip and the trolls start finger pointing and tattling like preschool daycare for the 'special'
