Kylere.... just MAKE SURE it has the "De-Screen" ability. This allows you to scan printed pieces without have a screened Moire' (IE translates the screen from a printed piece). There are ways around it (gaussian blur). Especially if you ever plan on using teh scans for commercial printing....
