I wonder if the gay marriage advocates realize how entirely hollow their victory will be? How exactly will it be hollow? The only explanation I can see for such a statement is that legalizing gay marriage won't change the fact that many Americans will remain opposed to homosexuality and gay marriag...

If they do make it legal for gay marriages, then they are going to have to rewrite all of the common law marriage statues in every state as well.....otherwise people will end up in serious legal messes if they have roomates for long periods of time. What the... That is one of the stupidest argument...

The quiz seems to work fine the way it is. It clearly seperates the smart, long-term thinkers from the short-sighted, not so bright people. Only 4 Tradtional Conservatives and a fuck ton of liberals and secular centrists. People like you are the number one thing wrong with the US today. And I would...

Okay, so she's 14, she's never done more than kiss, and you want her to be ready to have sex with you in a week or less, when that's barely more time than you'll have spent together in person total? That's way too much pressure to put on someone you care about. Hell, even if you don't ask her about ...

Edit: well you said yourself that it's fluff, which was exactly my point, so I don't quite see why all the indignation was necessary. I have to completely disagree with you on one thing. A person's voice is an instrument. Most people in the music industry have only ONE real talent, whether it is song writing, playing an instrument, etc. Bands proliferate because good music making is usually a collaborative process. RARELY will yo...

Lost in Translation was one of the best movies (if not the best movie) of 2003. Bill Murray and Scarlet Johansson both gave excellent performances. The two of them made the movie- it was one of those movies where not a whole hell of a lot happens, and it could have been boring if not for the acting....

When Neo-Smith dies, the real Neo's body is infused with orange light, the light we've come to associate with the Source. Thus I think it's implied that part of what kills Smith is the power of the Source. The connection between Smith and Neo that the Oracle discusses is the only thing she ever says...

I both liked and was disappointed by Revolutions. Overall I think I like what they did with the story and the characters, but I feel like they could have streamlined some of the movie, and been a bit less cheesy/cliche at times. I do like that Neo didn't save the whole world and destroy all the mach...

Keverian, I do not agree with your assertions. Pilsburry has showed himself to be, time and time again, largely socially inept, and devoid of a normal sense of humor. I could tell what was going to happen about five minutes into the movie, partially due to previews where they stupidly give away important information. I really don't understand why they felt the need to introduce both plot threads at once, as you really don't need one of them until the end. I love ...
